Kajian Ketersediaan dan Serapan Hara Kalium pada Tanaman Padi Sawah di Kecamatan Kutasari, Kabupaten Purbalingga

Produktivitas padi dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan unsur hara kalium (K), sehingga diperlukan informasi mengenai status K-tersedia tanah sebagai dasar pengelolaan pemupukan yang akurat dan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sifat kimia tanah, menganalisis hubungan K-tersedia dengan serapan K dan hasil panen, Menyusun peta sebaran K-tersedia, dan rekomendasi pemupukan kalium pada lahan sawah di Kecamatan Kutasari, Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 15 titik pengamatan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH H2O tanah tergolong netral (7,08-7,11), pH KCl agak masam (6,07-6,18), DHL yang non-salin (108,33-133,07 µS cm⁻¹), dan potensial redoks reduktif (-109,4 hingga -107,4 mV). Nilai K tersedia di kedalaman 0-25 cm berkisar di 0,07-0,82 cmol(+) kg-1 dengan rerata 0,43 cmol(+) kg-1 (berada di kategori sedang). K-tersedia memiliki hubungan positif namun lemah dengan hasil panen (r=0,303), sedangkan serapan K tanaman pada fase panen (r-0,762) dan serapan K per-rumpun (r-0,633) menunjukkan hubungan yang lebih kuat. Sebaran K-tersedia bervariasi dari status sangat rendah hingga tinggi sehinga direkomendasikan memperoleh tambahan pupuk kalium. Lahan dengan status K sangat rendah hingga sedang direkomendasikan memperoleh tambahan pupuk kalium, sedangkan lahan dengan status K tinggi tidak memerlukan tambahan pupuk kalium.

Rice productivity is influenced by the availability of essential nutrients, one of which is potassium (K). Therefore, information on soil available potassium is needed as a basis for appropriate fertilizer management. This study aimed to evaluate the chemical properties of paddy soils, analyze the relationship between available potassium, potassium uptake, and rice yield, develop a spatial distribution map of available potassium, and formulate potassium fertilizer recommendations for paddy fields in Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency. The study was conducted at 15 sampling points using a purposive random sampling method. The results showed that the soil pH (H₂O) was classified as neutral (7.08–7.11), while the pH (KCl) was slightly acidic (6.07–6.18). Electrical conductivity (EC) ranged from 108.33 to 133.07 µS cm⁻¹, indicating non-saline conditions, whereas the soil redox potential ranged from −109.4 to −107.4 mV, reflecting reduced soil conditions. Available potassium in the 0–25 cm soil layer ranged from 0.07 to 0.82 cmol(+) kg⁻¹, with an average of 0.43 cmol(+) kg⁻¹, which was classified as moderate. Available potassium showed a positive but weak correlation with rice yield (r = 0.303), while potassium uptake by the whole plant (r = 0.762) and potassium uptake per hill (r = 0.633) showed stronger correlations with rice yield. The spatial distribution of available potassium varied from very low to high, indicating different potassium fertilizer requirements among locations. Accordingly, site-specific potassium fertilizer recommendations were developed. Fields with very low to low available potassium were recommended to receive additional potassium fertilizer, whereas fields with high available potassium were not recommended to receive additional potassium fertilizer.
