PENGARUH TELE-NUTRITION EDUCATION DAN TELE-EXERCISE TERHADAP KUALITAS DIET DQI-I DAN KEKUATAN OTOT TUNGKAI DEWASA OBESITAS

Latar Belakang : Obesitas disebabkan karena ketidakseimbangan energi, kualitas diet, dan gaya hidup yang tidak baik. Kualitas diet dapat dipengaruhi oleh pemilihan dan ketersediaan bahan pangan, serta menentukan apakah asupan makanan seseorang sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi harian. Obesitas membebani kerja otot tungkai sehingga berpotensi menurunkan kekuatannya, sementara itu kekuatan otot merupakan indikator penting kebugaran fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Tele-nutrition education dan Tele-exercise terhadap kualitas diet DQI-I dan kekuatan otot tungkai dewasa obesitas Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi quasi eksperimental dengan pre-post test control group design. Sebanyak 36 responden dewasa berusia (19-40 tahun) dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Data kualitas diet diambil melalui recall 2x24 jam dan kekuatan otot tungkai dengan leg dynamometer. Analisis data menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk, Paired T-Test/Wilcoxon, Independent T-Test/Mann Whitney Hasil : Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan kualitas diet DQI-I antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (P=0,321), namun variasi protein meningkat signifikan pada kelompok intervensi (P=0,020). Kekuatan otot tungkai meningkat signifikan pada kedua kelompok, namun perbedaan masing-masing kelompok tidak signifikan (P=0,053), Kesimpulan : Kombinasi Tele-nutrition education dan Tele-exercise efektif meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan asupan protein, namun belum memberikan perubahan signifikan pada kualitas diet secara menyeluruh, sehingga perlu memperhatikan asupan konsumsi komponen kualitas diet yang lain. Backround : Obesity is caused by an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure, poor diet quality, and unhealthy lifestyle habits. Diet quality is influenced by food choices and food availability, and reflects whether daily nutrient intake meets nutritional requirements. Excess body weight also increases the mechanical load on the lower limbs, which may reduce muscle strength. Therefore, lower limb muscle strength is considered an important indicator of physical fitness. This study aimed to determine the effect of tele-nutrition education and tele-exercise on Diet Quality Index-International (DQI-I) scores and lower limb muscle strength among obese adults. Methods : This study employed a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test control group approach. A total of 36 obese adults aged 19–40 years were selected through purposive sampling and divided into intervention and control groups. Diet quality was assessed using two 24-hour dietary recalls and analyzed with the Diet Quality Index-International (DQI-I), while lower limb muscle strength was measured using a leg dynamometer. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Independent t-test or Mann-Whitney test.. Results : There was no significant difference in the total DQI-I score between the intervention and control groups after the intervention (p = 0.371). However, the protein variety subcomponent significantly improved in the intervention group (p = 0.020). Lower limb muscle strength increased significantly within the intervention group (p = 0.020). Nevertheless, the difference in lower limb muscle strength between the intervention and control groups after the intervention was not statistically significant (p = 0.053). Conlusion : The combination of tele-nutrition education and tele-exercise was effective in improving lower limb muscle strength and dietary protein variety among obese adults. However, it did not significantly improve overall diet quality as measured by the DQI-I. Longer intervention periods and continuous dietary guidance may be needed to achieve meaningful improvements in overall diet quality.
