Kondisi demikian  memberikan  peluang  ekonomi yang sangat strategis dalam melakukan pengembangan agribisnis kelapa. kondisi perkelapaan di Kecamatan Cidaun saat ini berd  pada kondisi rendahnya produktifitas, harga produk berupa kelapa butiran dan sebagian produk hanya kopra, produk olahan hanya kopra, hilangnya semangat petani kelapa dalam mengusahakan kebunnya, kurangnya akses petani dalam pemasaran hasil, kurangnya keterkaitan antara stakeholders yang terlibat dalam perkelapaan di Kecamatan Cidaun serta sistem agribisnis belum berjalan secara optimal 
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis pendapatan usahatani kelapa di Kecamatan Cidaun, Kabupaten Cianjur, (2) mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa di Kecamatan Cidaun, Kabupaten Cianjur,(3) menentukan prioritas strategi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa di Kecamatan Cidaun, Kabupaten Cianjur. 
Metode penelitian adalah metode survai dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data  mengenai usahatani dan faktor-faktor yang terkait dengan strategi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara sensus (responden petani) yaitu sebanyak 100 petani dan purposive sampling (responden pakar) yaitu sebanyak 18 orang. Metode Analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan Analisa usaha tani untuk mengetahui pendapatan usaha tani kelapa dan Analitic Hierarcy Proses (AHP) untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa dan menentukan prioritas strategi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa di Cidaun. Berdasarkan hasil analisis usaha tani kelapa di Kecamatan Cidaun diperoleh rata-rata pendapatan petani kelapa sebesar Rp3.889.575,00 ha/tahun setara dengan Rp324.131,00 ha/bulan. Hasil analisis terhadap faktor yang mempengaruhi strategi pengembangan agribisnis kelapa didapatkan faktor yang paling dominan yaitu subsistem sarana produksi yang meliputi modal, kualitas dan kuantitas bibit, sumber daya lahan, pupuk, pestisida, alat dan mesin pertanian. Hasil analisis prioritas strategi didapatkan prioritas utama yaitu peningkatan sumberdaya manusia petani kelapa melalui peningkatkan pendidikan, pelatihan serta pemberdayaan petani dan kelembagaannya melalui pembinaan, bimbingan dan penyuluhan yang intensif.

Coconut Oil is a strategic commodity that has the role of social, cultural and economic life condition people thus providing a strategic economic opportunity in making coconut agribusiness development. The conditions in Cidaun District of coconut currently in a state of low productivity, price of coconut products such as grains and some products just copra, copra only refined products, the loss of the spirit of coconut farmers in getting his garden, farmers' lack of access to marketing, lack of linkages between the stakeholders involved the coconut in Cidaun District and agribusiness system has not run optimally so that the low farmers income. Coconut agribusiness development in the Cidaun District needs to be done because of the potential for considerable expansion.
This aims of the research to (1) analyze the coconut farming income in the Cidaun District, Cianjur Region, (2) identify and analyze the factors that influence coconut agribusiness development in Cidaun District, Cianjur, (3) determine the priority of the coconut agribusiness development strategy in Cidaun District, Cianjur.
The research method is a survey method used questionnaires as a means of collecting data on farming and factors associated with coconut agribusiness development strategy. Determination of the census respondent (respondent farmers) as many as 100 farmers and purposive sampling (expert respondents) as many as 18 people. The data analysis methods used in this research using analysis to determine the farm coconut farm income and Analitic Hierarcy Process (AHP) to analyze the factors that influence coconut agribusiness development and agribusiness development strategy prioritizing coconuts in Cidaun District. Based on the analysis of coconut farms in the Cidaun District earned an average income Rp3.889.575 ha / year or equivalent Rp324.131ha / month. The results of an analysis factors affecting the coconut agribusiness development strategy found that the most dominant factor of production subsystem which includes the capital, the quality and quantity of seed, the land resources, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural equipment and machinery. The analysis results of priority strategic obtained good priority strategic, with increased human resources coconut farmers in increasing education, training ,empowerment of farmers and organization through coaching, mentoring and intensive counseling.
