Hubungan Asupan Vitamin C, Magnesium, Seng, dan Tingkat Stres dengan Kadar Glukosa Darah Penyandang Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Prolanis Pusekesmas Sumbang I

Diabetes melitus tipe 2 merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang prevalensinya terus meningkat. Kadar glukosa darah pada penyandang diabetes melitus tipe 2 dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk asupan vitamin C, magnesium, dan seng yang berperan sebagai antioksidan serta kofaktor dalam metabolisme glukosa, dan juga tingkat stres yang dapat meningkatkan hormon kortisol sehingga mengganggu kerja insulin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan vitamin C, magnesium, seng, dan tingkat stres dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa pada penyandang diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Prolanis Puskesmas Sumbang I. Penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional pada 42 responden yang secara purposive sampling. Data asupan diperoleh melalui formulir food recall 2x24 jam, tingkat stres menggunakan kuesioner PSS-10, dan data kadar glukosa darah puasa diperoleh dari hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Sebagian besar responden mengalami defisit asupan vitamin C, magnesium, dan seng tingkat berat, serta tingkat stres sedang. Sebanyak 54,8% responden memiliki kadar glukosa darah puasa tinggi. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara asupan vitamin C (p=0,670), magnesium (p=0,484), maupun seng (p=0,772) dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat stres dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa (p<0,05; r=0,501) dengan arah hubungan positif berkekuatan sedang. Sebagian besar responden memiliki asupan vitamin C, magnesium, dan seng defisit tingkat berat. Asupan vitamin C, magnesium, dan seng tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa, sedangkan tingkat stres berhubungan signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa. Semakin tinggi tingkat stres, semakin tinggi kadar glukosa darah puasa.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases with a continuously increasing prevalence. Blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are influenced by vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc as antioxidants and cofactors in glucose metabolism, as well as stress levels that may elevate cortisol and interfere with insulin function. This study aimed to determine the relationship between those factors and fasting blood glucose levels among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Prolanis Program at Sumbang I Public Health Center. This analytic observational study used a cross-sectional approach on 42 respondents selected by purposive sampling. Nutrient intake data were obtained through 2x24-hour food recall, stress levels through the PSS-10 questionnaire, and fasting blood glucose data from laboratory results. Bivariate analysis used Spearman correlation test. Most respondents had severe deficits in vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc intake, and experienced moderate stress levels. A total of 54.8% of respondents had high fasting blood glucose levels. There was no significant relationship between vitamin C (p=0.670), magnesium (p=0.484), or zinc intake (p=0.772) and fasting blood glucose levels. Stress levels showed a significant relationship with fasting blood glucose (p<0.05; r=0.501), with a positive moderate correlation. Most respondents had severe deficits in vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc intake. Vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc intake were not significantly associated with fasting blood glucose, whereas stress levels were significantly associated with fasting blood glucose levels. Higher stress levels were associated with higher fasting blood glucose levels.
