PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS DENGAN METODE SIX SIGMA DAN TEORIYA RESHENIYA IZOBRETATELSKIKH ZADATCH (TRIZ) PADA PT. XYZ-52
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)
PT. XYZ-52.

PT. XYZ-52 is a garment manufacturing company that still encounters product defects in the bra production process, making quality control improvements necessary to enhance process capability. This study aims to analyze the Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), sigma level, and process capability, identify the primary causes of defects, and propose improvement strategies using the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). The study employed the Six Sigma DMAIC approach, limited to the improve phase, with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) used to prioritize failure modes based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN) and TRIZ applied to develop systematic improvement solutions. The results showed that the bra production process achieved a DPMO value of 7,000 with a process capability of 4 sigma. Pareto analysis identified three major Critical to Quality (CTQ) categories, namely Appearance/Visual Quality, Shape & Structure, and Stitching Quality. Furthermore, FMEA indicated that broken stitches, loose threads/thread contamination, baggy seams, loose thread tension, and skipped stitches were the highest-priority defects for improvement. Based on the TRIZ analysis, the proposed improvements include standardizing sewing process parameters, controlling machine and needle conditions, implementing first piece inspection, enhancing process monitoring, using alignment guides, and controlling machine feeding and thread tension. The integration of Six Sigma, FMEA, and TRIZ provides a systematic approach to identifying the root causes of defects and developing improvement strategies to enhance product quality and process capability in the bra production process at PT. XYZ-52.
