Karakteristik Morfometri, Nisbah Kelamin dan Pola Pertumbuhan Spiny Lobster Pasir (Panulirus homarus Linnaeus, 1758) di Perairan Kabupaten Cilacap
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)
Spiny sand lobster (P. homarus Linnaeus, 1758) is the most commonly caught lobster species in Indonesian waters, including the waters off Cilacap Regency. The high economic value of spiny lobsters has led to increasingly intensive fishing in these waters, making research into the biology of sand lobsters important. This study aims to analyze the morphometric characteristics, sex ratio, and growth patterns of spiny sand lobsters in October-December 2025. This observational study observed morphometric characteristics using Image J software, analyzed the sex ratio and length-weight relationship of spiny sand lobster samples caught by fishermen and landed at Pier 3 PPS Cilacap. The results showed that the morphometric characteristics of spiny sand lobsters, including total length (TL), carapace length (CL), abdomen length (AL), abdomen segment length (ASL), tail length (TL), antennula length (AL), and weight (W), were obtained for female lobsters between 7.25-24.99 cm; 2.99-10.37 cm; 4.22-14.66 cm; 2.59-9.28 cm; 1.43-5.39 cm; 8.80-25.78 cm; 20-510.11 grams. Meanwhile, for male lobsters, the measurements obtained were between 8.20-21.57 cm; 3.30-9.93 cm; 4.82-11.68 cm; 3.10-7.79 cm; 1.48-4.26 cm; 8.75-27.39 cm; 21.74-380.45 grams. The sex ratio of spiny sand lobsters was balanced between female and male spiny sand lobsters with a ratio of 0.93:1.08. The growth pattern of female spiny sand lobsters, male spiny sand lobsters, and spiny sand lobsters as a whole showed a negative allometric growth pattern (b<3). The sustainability of spiny sand lobster resources in these waters must be maintained through regular monitoring catch levels.
