Radikal bebas dapat menyebabkan bibir kering dan pecah-pecah. Penggunaan sediaan kosmetik yang mengandung antioksidan, seperti lipcream, dapat menjadi salah satu upaya perlindungan. Daun rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) mengandung senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, fenolik, dan tanin yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi ekstrak daun rambutan (5%, 10%, dan 15%) terhadap sifat fisiko kimia, stabilitas fisik, dan aktivitas antioksidan sediaan lipcream dengan metode DPPH. Ekstrak daun rambutan diperoleh dengan metode maserasi, kemudian diformulasikan menjadi lipcream F1 (5%), F2 (10%), dan F3 (15%). Seluruh formula dilakukan evaluasi sifat fisiko kimia, uji stablitas, uji iritasi, uji hedonik, dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh formula sediaan lipcream ekstrak daun rambutan memenuhi pesyaratan sifat fisik dan stabilitas, tidak mengiritasi, dan disukai panelis. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan ketiga formula menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 F1 sebesar 45,89 ppm, F2 sebesar 43,75 ppm, dan F3 sebesar 42,72 ppm.

Free radicals can cause dry and chapped lips. The use of cosmetic preparations containing antioxidants, such as lip cream, can be one of the protective efforts. Rambutan leaves (Nephelium lappaceum L.) contain flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, phenolics, and tannins that have the potential as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in rambutan leaf extract concentration (5%, 10%, and 15%) on the physicochemical properties, physical stability, and antioxidant activity of lip cream preparations using the DPPH method. Rambutan leaf extract was obtained by maceration method, then formulated into lip cream F1 (5%), F2 (10%), and F3 (15%). All formulas were evaluated for physicochemical properties, stability test, irritation test, hedonic test, and antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method. The results showed that all formulas of rambutan leaf extract lip cream preparations met the requirements for physical properties and stability, did not irritate, and were preferred by panelists. The results of the antioxidant activity test of the three formulas showed very strong antioxidant activity with IC50 values of F1 of 45.89 ppm, F2 of 43.75 ppm, and F3 of 42.72 ppm.
