Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan konstruksi realitas sosial dalam pemberitaan Detik.com terkait respons Presiden Prabowo Subianto terhadap insiden keracunan pada program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG). Program MBG, sebagai simbol legitimasi politik, menghadapi krisis kepercayaan akibat kasus keracunan yang memprihatinkan. Isu tersebut direspons Prabowo dengan menarasikannya sebagai "eror manusiawi" dengan persentase sangat kecil (0,0007%). Aspek jangkauan dan keberpihakan Detik.com menjadikan penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Norman Fairclough terhadap artikel Detik.com. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Detik.com mengonstruksi realitas yang mendukung narasi pemerintah. Secara tekstual, pada berita Detik.com ditemukan strategi normalisasi kegagalan melalui penggunaan eufemisme, rasionalisasi statistik, dan metafora skala untuk mengecilkan signifikansi jumlah korban. Narasi ini bertujuan menggeser fokus publik dari bahaya keracunan MBG menjadi kekaguman terhadap skala masif program, sekaligus memosisikan pemerintah sebagai pihak yang wajar melakukan kesalahan teknis. Dari sisi discourse practice, pemberitaan ini terindikasi berjalan satu arah dan tidak berimbang karena hanya mereproduksi klaim pemerintah tanpa verifikasi mendalam atau menghadirkan perspektif korban. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh rutinitas jurnalisme siber yang memprioritaskan kecepatan di atas kualitas investigasi, serta adanya relasi kuasa antara pemilik media (CT Corp) dengan pemerintah. Dalam konteks ini, Detik.com tidak berfungsi sebagai pilar keempat demokrasi yang mengawasi kekuasaan, melainkan bertindak sebagai instrumen legitimasi yang berupaya memulihkan kepercayaan masyarakat dan meredam krisis tata kelola program MBG melalui narasi ini. Meskipun media berupaya membangun hegemoni bahwa insiden tersebut adalah hal yang wajar, penelitian ini menemukan kegagalan hegemoni pada level konsumsi pembaca. Analisis terhadap respons pembaca aktif di kolom komentar menunjukkan dominasi sentimen negatif dan penolakan keras terhadap angka statistik yang ditawarkan pemerintah. Pembaca aktif mendekonstruksi naras “eror manusiawi” dengan argumen yang kontra, menolak dehumanisasi korban yang hanya dianggap sebagai angka statistik. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa realitas objektif yang dikonstruksi oleh media gagal diinternalisasi sepenuhnya oleh masyarakat yang kritis terhadap keselamatan dan pelaksanaan program MBG.

This study describes the construction of social reality in Detik.com's coverage of President Prabowo Subianto's response to the poisoning incident in the Makan Bergizi Gratis program (MBG). The MBG program, as a symbol of political legitimacy, faced a crisis of confidence due to the alarming poisoning case. Prabowo responded to this issue by framing it as a “human error” with a very small percentage (0.0007%). The reach and bias of Detik.com make this research important. This descriptive qualitative research uses Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) on Detik.com articles. The results show that Detik.com constructs a reality that supports the government's narrative. Textually, in Detik.com news coverage, a strategy of normalizing failure is observed through the use of euphemisms, statistical rationalization, and scale metaphors to downplay the significance of the number of victims. This narrative aims to shift public focus from the dangers of MBG poisoning to admiration for the massive scale of the program, while positioning the government as a party that is prone to technical errors. From the perspective of discourse practice, this reporting appears to be one-sided and unbalanced because it only reproduces the government's claims without in-depth verification or presenting the victims' perspectives. This condition is influenced by the routine of cyber journalism, which prioritizes speed over the quality of investigation, as well as the power relations between the media owner (CT Corp) and the government. In this context, Detik.com does not function as the fourth pillar of democracy that oversees power, but rather acts as an instrument of legitimacy that seeks to restore public trust and mitigate the crisis in the management of the MBG program through this narrative. Although the media attempted to establish a hegemony that such incidents were normal, this study found that this hegemony failed at the reader consumption level. Analysis of active reader responses in the comments section showed a dominance of negative sentiment and strong rejection of the statistics offered by the government. Active readers deconstruct the narrative of “human error” with counterarguments, rejecting the dehumanization of victims who are considered merely as statistics. This proves that the objective reality constructed by the media has failed to be fully internalized by a society that is critical of safety and the implementation of the MBG program.
