Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Dalam pasal 1 ayat (2) UUD 1945 berbunyi “ Kedaulatan berada di tangan rakyat dan dilaksanakan menurut Undang Undang Dasar” , Pertama, kedaulatan yang berada di tangan rakyat itu sekarang tidak lagi dilembagakan hanya pada satu subjek (ordening subject) Kedua, pengharusan pelaksanaan tugas menurut ketentuan undang-undang dasar tidak hanya satu lembaga saja, yakni MPR, melainkan semua lembaga negara diharuskan bekerja menurut ketentuan undang-undang dasar. 
Kedaulatan rakyat Indonesia berdasarkan ketentuan undang-undang dasar (constitutional democracy) diselenggarakan secara langsung dan melalui sistem perwakilan. Kedaulatan rakyat diwujudkan dalam tiga cabang kekuasaaan yang tercermin dalam Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat yang terdiri atas Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat dan Dewan Perwakilan Daerah sebagai pemegang kekuasaan legislatif, Presiden dan Wakil Presiden sebagai kekuasaan eksekutif, dan Mahkamah Agung dan Mahkamah Konstitusi sebagai pemegang kekuasaan yudikatif.
		Penyaluran kedaulatan secara langsung (direct democracy) dilakukan melalui pemilihan umum, pemilihan presiden, dan sebagai tambahan yaitu pelaksanaan referendum untuk menyatakan persetujuan atau penolakan terhadap rencana perubahan atas pasal-pasal tertentu dalam Undang-Undang Dasar.
		Dalam sistem hukum Indonesia, kehendak yang pertama atau kedaulatan politik itu disalurkan melalui pemilihan umum yang dilaksanakan secara periodik setiap 5 (lima) tahun sekali. Hasil dari pemilihan umum itulah yang kemudian mengisi jabatan-jabatan kelembagaan negara yang menjalankan kedaulatan rakyat dalam bentuk kedaulatan hukum. 
		Pencerdasan politik sebagai salah satu upaya strategis untuk mendukung itu, harus perlu dilakukan. Dan semoga masyarakat ke depan bisa memilih pemimpin yang betul-betul representatif. Dan satu lagi, mari kita dukung pemilu yang tidak money politic, dan menjunjung kejujuran.
		Indonesia adalah negara yang menganut demokrasi sebagai sistem politiknya, dengan kata lain segala eksistensinya berperan sebagai jembatan aspirasi dan kepentingan-kepentingan rakyat, hingga skala berbangsa dan bernegara.  Negara apapun di dunia yang mengambil demokrasi sebagai sistem politiknya, maka partai politik menjadi suatu kebutuhan dalam proses-proses demokrasi.

Popular sovereignty embodied in the three branches of power are reflected in the Assembly consists of the House of Representatives and the Regional Representative Council as the legislative authority, the President and Vice President as an executive power, and the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court as a judicial authority.
Sovereignty distribution directly (direct democracy) is done through elections, presidential elections, and in addition to the implementation of the referendum to express approval or rejection of the plan to change the specific provisions in the Constitution.
In the Indonesian legal system, or the will of the political sovereignty was first channeled through elections held periodically every 5 (five) years. The results of the elections that are then filled positions institutional sovereignty of the people who run the country in the form of the rule of law.
make shrewd political process as one of the strategic effort to support it, should be done. And I hope that people can choose the next leader who truly representative. And one more, let us support the election that is not money politics, and uphold honesty.
Indonesia is a country that embraces democracy as its political system, in other words, its existence serves as a bridge all the aspirations and interests of the people, by the scale of the nation. Any country in the world that takes democracy as its political system, the political parties become a necessity in democratic processes.
