PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL JAGUNG MANIS (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) PADA VARIASI TARAF PEMBERIAN PUPUK SILIKA DAN PUPUK N-P-K

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pupuk silika dan pupuk N-P-K terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman jagung manis, sekaligus menentukan dosis pupuk silika yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas jagung manis. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 9 perlakuan kombinasi dosis silika dan N-P-K serta 3 ulangan. Perlakuan meliputi kontrol (A), 100% N-P-K+ 50% konsentrasi Mikro Si (B), 75% N-P-K + 50% konsentrasi Mikro Si (C), 100% N-P-K + 100% konsentrasi Mikro Si (D), 75% N-P-K + 100% konsentrasi Mikro Si (E), 100% N-P-K + 150% konsentrasi Mikro Si (F), 75% N-P-K + 150% konsentrasi Mikro Si (G), 100% N-P-K + 200% konsentrasi Mikro Si (H), 75% N-P-K + 200% konsentrasi Mikro Si (I). Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, warna daun, bobot kering tanaman, bobot kering akar, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol berkelobot, bobot kelobot, serta bobot tongkol per satuan luas. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf kesalahan 5% untuk variabel yang menunjukkan pengaruh nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa luas daun, warna daun, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, dan bobot tongkol per satuan luas memberikan respons yang berbeda nyata terhadap perlakuan kombinasi pupuk silika dan N-P-K. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada dosis 100% N-P-K + 200% silika (perlakuan H) yang menghasilkan bobot tongkol berkelobot tertinggi (0,43 kg) dan dibandingkan perlakuan A (kontrol), perlakuan H meningkatkan bobot tongkol sebesar 11,55%.

This study aims to analyze the effect of silica fertilizer and N-P-K fertilizer application on the growth and yield of sweet corn, as well as to determine the most effective dose of silica fertilizer in improving the growth and productivity of sweet corn. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of nine treatment combinations of silica and N-P-K dosages with three replications. The treatments included a control (A), 100% N-P-K + 50% micro-silica concentration (B), 75% N-P-K + 50% micro-silica concentration (C), 100% N-P-K + 100% micro-silica concentration (D), 75% N-P-K + 100% micro-silica concentration (E), 100% N-P-K + 150% micro-silica concentration (F), 75% N-P-K + 150% micro-silica concentration (G), 100% N-P-K + 200% micro-silica concentration (H), and 75% N-P-K + 200% micro-silica concentration (I). The observed variables included plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf color, plant dry weight, root dry weight, ear length, ear diameter, husked ear weight, husk weight, and ear weight per unit area. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level for variables showing significant effects. The results showed that leaf area, leaf color, ear length, ear diameter, and ear yield per unit area responded significantly to the combined application of silica and N-P-K fertilizers. The best treatment was obtained at 100% N-P-K combined with 200% silica (Treatment H), which produced the highest husked ear weight (0.43 kg). Compared to the control treatment (A), Treatment H increased ear yield per unit area by 11.55%.
