Penelitian ini berjudul “Konflik Sosial dalam Naskah Drama Mangir”.  Naskah drama karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer ini menceritakan tentang konflik antara Mangir dan Mataram.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konflik sosial dalam “Mangir”.
Manfaat penelitian secara teoritis yaitu sebagai penerapan analisis sastra, terutama tentang sosiologi sastra yang berhubungan dengan unsur pembangun karya sastra seperti alur, penokohan, dan setting.  Adapun manfaat praktis dalam penelitian ini, menjadi referensi untuk penelitian selanjutnya.  Terutama penelitian yang berfokus pada konflik sosial serta menambah wawasan pengetahuan terhadap peneliti serta pembaca.
Metode yang digunakan untuk analisis adalah deskriptif analisis.  Deskriptif analisis yaitu mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur intrinsik karya fiksi, kemudian disusul dengan analisis.  Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan struktural, yaitu bertujuan meneliti hubungan antarunsur dalam sebuah karya sastra dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra.
Hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam naskah drama Mangir adalah konflik sosial yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan kepentingan antara dua kelompok sosial. Konflik tersebut digambarkan oleh konflik Mataram dengan Mangir.  Dalam naskah drama Mangir muncul juga konflik sosial yang dilatarbelakangi perbedaan antara individu baik antara satu anggota kelompok maupun antara dua individu dari kelompok yang berbeda.  Konflik tersebut digambarkan oleh konflik Wanabaya yang ingin memperistri Putri Pambayun membuat hubungan kelompok Mangir retak.  Konflik horizontal dalam Naskah ini digambarkan oleh konflik antaranggota kelompok Mangir sementara Konflik vertikal digambarkan dengan Putri Pambayun yang menentang Panembahan Senapati.

The title of this research is “Konflik Sosial dalam Naskah Drama Mangir” The script of drama created by Pramoedya Ananta Toer which it tells about the conflict between Mangir and Mataram.  This research aims to depict about the social conflict in “Mangir”.
	The benefit of this research theoretically is as the implementation of literature analysis, especially about the literature sociology that relates with the development element of literature masterpieces like plot, figure and setting.  The practical benefit in this research becomes the reference to the subsequent research.  Especially the research that focus on the social conflict and adds the knowledge insight to the researcher and reader.  
	The method for analysis uses analysis descriptive.  Analysis descriptive it depicts about the intrinsic elements of fiction masterpiece, and followed with the analysis.  The approach in this research uses the structural approach, it is aims to do the research about the correlation between the elements in a literature masterpieces and the approach of literature sociology.   
	The result of research obtains the conclusion that the social conflict in the script of Mangir is the social conflict that caused by the different interest between two social groups.  These conflicts depicted by the conflict of Mataram and Mangir.  Mangir also emerges the social conflict that caused by the differences between the good individual between members group or two individual in the different group.  These conflicts are depicted by the Wanabaya conflict that want to propose or ask in marriage the Putri Pambayun and it makes the relationship the Mangir group getting worse.  The horizontal conflict in this script is depicted the conflict between the group member of Mangir meanwhile the vertical conflict is depicted by the Putri Pambayun that against the Panembahan Senapati.
