Pengaruh Pupuk Organik dan Biochar Plus terhadap Lebar Bukaan Stomata dan Total Padatan Terlarut pada Tanaman Ubi Jalar Ungu

Permintaan ubi jalar terus meningkat sulit dipenuhi karena produksi masih terbatas akibat penurunan luas lahan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk organik, mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi biochar plus, dan mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk organik dan biochar plus terhadap lebar bukaan dan Total Padatan Terlarut tanaman ubi jalar ungu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bobosan, Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara, Kabupaten Banyumas dan Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian. Waktu penelitian dimulai pada September 2024 hingga Agustus 2025. Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri atas dua faktor kombinasi perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah perlakuan pupuk organik (P), yaitu P0 = tanpa pupuk organik; P1 = pupuk organik sapi; P2 = pupuk organik kambing. Faktor kedua adalah perlakuan biochar (B), yaitu B1 = biochar; B2 = biochar plus POC; B3 = biochar plus azolla. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji F dan apabila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi pupuk organik dan biochar plus belum mampu meningkatkan variabel lebar bukaan stomata dan Total Padatan Terlarut ubi jalar ungu.

The demand for sweet potatoes continues to increase and is difficult to meet because production is still limited due to a decrease in land area. Therefore, efforts are needed to overcome this problem. This study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer application, determine the effect of biochar plus application, and determine the effect of organic fertilizer and biochar plus application on the width of the opening and Total Dissolved Solids of purple sweet potato plants. This study was conducted in Bobosan Village, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, and the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture. The study period was from September 2024 to August 2025. A factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of two treatment combinations was used. The first factor was organic fertilizer treatment (P), namely P0 = no organic fertilizer; P1 = cow manure; P2 = goat manure. The second factor was biochar treatment (B), namely B1 = biochar; B2 = biochar plus POC; B3 = biochar plus azolla. The data obtained were analyzed using the F test, and if there were significant differences, they were followed up with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of organic fertilizer and biochar plus was not yet able to increase the variables of stomatal aperture width and total dissolved solids in purple sweet potatoes.
