Tingginya angka perceraian di Jawa Tengah menjadi isu sosial yang patut mendapat perhatian. Pada tahun 2023 Jawa Tengah menyumbang sekitar 16,5% dari total kasus perceraian di Indonesia. Dari 76.367 kasus yang tercatat, sebagian besar merupakan cerai gugat yakni sebesar 76%. Fenomena ini menunjukkan perlunya kajian mendalam mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi jenis perceraian. Metode regresi logistik biner digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap jenis perceraian (cerai gugat dan cerai talak). Jenis perceraian yang terjadi diduga dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti usia saat menikah, tingkat pendidikan, durasi pernikahan, serta penyebab spesifik seperti kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, masalah ekonomi, adanya pihak ketiga, dan meninggalkan tanggung jawab. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat variabel yang terbukti signifikan terhadap jenis perceraian yaitu, usia pemohon/penggugat saat menikah, usia termohon/tergugat saat menikah, kekerasan dalam rumah tangga dan meninggalkan tanggung jawab.

The high divorce rate in Central Jawa has become a social issue that deserves serious attention. In 2023, Central Jawa contributed approximately 16,5% of the total divorce cases in Indonesia. Of the 76,367 recorded cases, the majority 76% were divorces filed by women. This phenomenon highlights the need for an in depth study of the factors influencing the type of divorce. Binary logistic regression was used to identify the variables that significantly affect the type of divorce (divorces filed by women and divorces filed by men). The type of divorce is presumed to be influenced by various factors, such a age at marriage, level of education, duration of marriage, and spesific causes such as domestik violence, economic problems, the presence of a third party, and abandonment of responsibilities. The analysis results revealed that four variables significantly affect the type of divorce: the age of the petitioner at the time of marriage, the age of the respondent at the time of marriage, domestik violence, and abandonment of reponsibilities.
