PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PROBIOTIK MONO DAN MULTI STRAIN TERHADAP KONSUMSI PAKAN DAN PBB AYAM BROILER YANG DIPELIHARA DI KANDANG TERBUKA
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Article entitled "The Effect of Mono- and Multi-Strain Probiotic Administration on Feed Consumption and PBB of Broiler Chickens Reared in Open Cages" This article aims to determine the effect of probiotic administration as feed additive in broiler chicken feed raised in open cages on feed consumption and body weight gain (PBB) of broiler chickens. The material used was male broiler chickens with Cobb strains as many as 100 heads which were raised from the time of DOC until they were reared at the age of 35 days. The research design used was a complete random design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replicates, so there were 20 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 5 broiler chickens. The treatment given was the addition of probiotics consisting of P0: Commercial feed (control), P1: Commercial feed + Probiotic Bacillus coagulans 0.2%, P2: Commercial feed + Probiotic Saccharomyces cerevisiae 0.2%, P3: Commercial feed + Probiotic multi strain consisting of a mixture of bacillus coagulans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae 0.1% each. The variables measured included feed consumption and body weight gain (PBB). The results ranged from 640.37 ± 136.89 to 661.92 ± 142.68 grams/head/week with an average of 654.32 ± 142.99 grams/head/week. The results ranged from 491.03 ± 234.46 to 518.8 ± 236.41 grams/head/week with an average of 502.35 ± 247.72 grams/head/week. The results of the variance analysis showed that the addition of probiotics as a feed additive had an unreal effect (P>0.05) on the value of feed consumption and PBB. Conclusion. The administration of probiotics Bacillus coagulans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae as much as 0.2% and mixed strain as feed additives in feed have not been able to efficiently the value of feed consumption, increasing the body weight of broiler chickens raised in open cages.
