PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG SAPI TERHADAP TINGKAT PEMADATAN TANAH PADA KEDALAMAN 0 –50 CM (6 BULAN SETELAH PERLINTASAN TRAKTOR RODA 4)

Perlintasan traktor dapat memadatkan tanah, menghambat pertumbuhan akar, serta mengganggu pergerakan air dan udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang sapi terhadap pemadatan tanah akibat perlintasan traktor roda 4 hingga kedalaman 0–50 cm setelah 6 bulan, serta menganalisis hubungan antar sifat fisik tanah. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 dosis pupuk (0, 15, 20, 25 ton/ha) dan 5 kedalaman tanah (0 – 10, 10 – 20, 20 – 30, 30 – 40, dan 40 – 50 cm). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang sapi, terutama dosis 25 ton/ha, menurunkan dry bulk density dan meningkatkan porositas, kadar air, serta konduktivitas hidrolik jenuh. Semakin dalam tanah, pemadatan semakin berkurang. Analisis statistik menunjukkan hubungan linier antar variabel fisik tanah, dan hanya konduktivitas hidrolik jenuh yang berbeda nyata antara 6 bulan dan 0 bulan.

Tractor traffic can compact the soil, inhibit root growth, and disrupt the movement of water and air within the soil. This study aimed to determine the effect of cattle manure application rates on soil compaction caused by four-wheel tractor traffic up to a depth of 0 – 50 cm after six months, as well as to analyze the relationships among soil physical properties. The research employed a Completely Randomized Design with four manure application rates (0, 15, 20, and 25 tons/ha) and five soil depths (0 – 10, 10 – 20, 20 – 30, 30 – 40, and 40 – 50 cm). The results showed that cattle manure application, particularly at a dose of 25 tons/ha, reduced dry bulk density and increased porosity, moisture content, and saturated hydraulic conductivity. Greater soil depths resulted in reduced compaction. Statistical analysis revealed linear relationships among soil physical properties, with only saturated hydraulic conductivity showing significant differences between six months and zero months.
