POTENSI FORMULA CAIR BAKTERI ENDOFIT Bacillus subtilis NPSB3 DALAM MENINGKATKAN PERTUMBUHAN PADI CIHERANG

Potensi formula cair bakteri endofit Bacillus subtilis NPSB3 dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan padi Ciherang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi bakteri endofit B. subtilis NPSB3 sebagai penghasil komponen pertumbuhan padi dan mengevaluasi perlakuan formula cair bakteri endofit B. subtilis NPSB3 terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan padi. Percobaan dilakukan di rumah kaca menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Variabel yang diamati antara lain persentase perkecambahan, vigor benih, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, volume akar, bobot kering akar, bobot segar tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, kandungan klorofil a dan b, kandungan klorofil total, dan laju pertumbuhan relatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bakteri endofit B. subtilis NPSB3 menghasilkan IAA, siderofor tipe hidroksamat, protease, dan pelarut fosfat. Aplikasi formula cair bakteri endofit B. subtilis NPSB3 tidak berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan padi.

The liquid formulation of the endophytic bacteria Bacillus subtilis NPSB3 has the potential to enhance the growth of Ciherang rice. This study aims to evaluate the potential of B. subtilis NPSB3 as a producer of rice growth-promoting components and to identify the most effective treatment of its liquid formulation for enhancing rice growth. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The observed variables included germination percentage, seed vigor, plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, root dry weight, fresh plant weight, plant dry weight, chlorophyll a and b content, total chlorophyll content, and relative growth rate. The results showed that the endophytic bacterium B. subtilis NPSB3 produces indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), phosphate-solubilizing compounds, protease, and hydroxamate-type siderophores. Application of liquid formula of endophytic bacteria B. subtilis NPSB3 had no significant effect on rice growth.
