Pengaruh Kepadatan Kandang Terhadap Pertambahan Bobot Badan Harian dan Konsumsi Domba Ekor Gemuk

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji pengaruh kepadatan kandang terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian dan konsumsi Domba Ekor Gemuk. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama magang dari tanggal 14 Mei 2024 sampai 13 Juni 2024 di Kemuning, Kec. Kramat, Kabupaten Tegal, Jawa Tengah. Materi yang digunakan adalah domba ekor gemuk dengan umur 5 -12 bulan sebanyak 45 ekor dengan rataan bobot awal 15,47 ±4,02 kg. Kandang yang digunakan dalam penelitian berjumlah 3 pen dengan masing-masing berisi domba 15 ekor. Percobaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) sebagai perlakuan adalah pen 1,2 dan 3 (perbedaan ukuran kandang). Pengukuran konsumsi dilakukan selama 30 hari (sebagai ulangan) dan pertambahan bobot badan harian diukur berdasarkan perbedaan antara bobot akhir dan bobot awal selama 30 hari pemeliharaan. Perbedaan neraca perlakuan diuji dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan antara pen berbeda sangat nyata (P < 0,01) terhadap konsumsi dan PBBH. Hasil Rataan pengukuran konsumsi pen 1 34,178; pen 2 40,759; pen 3 24,124 dan hasil rataan pengukuran PBBH pen 1 92,667; pen 2 65,667; pen 3 57,132. Disimpulkan bahwa kepadatan kandang berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot badan harian.

The research aims to determine and analyze the effect of pen density on Average Daily Gain and Fat-Tailed Sheep consumption. The research was conducted during the internship from May 14, 2024, to June 13, 2024, in Kemuning, Subdistrict. Kramat, Regency Tegal, Central Java. The material used was 45 fat-tailed sheep aged 5-12 months with an average initial weight of 15.47 ±4.02 kg. The pens used in the study consisted of 3 pens, each containing 15 sheep. The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the treatments being pens 1, 2, and 3. (difference in cage size). Consumption measurements were conducted over 30 days (as a repetition) and average daily gain was measured based on the difference between final weight and initial weight over the 30-day maintenance period. The differences in treatment balance were tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test. (DMRT). The research results show that there are significant differences (P < 0.01) in consumption and daily body weight gain between pens. The average consumption measurements were pen 1 34.178; pen 2 40.759; pen 3 24.124, and the average PBBH measurements were pen 1 92.667; pen 2 65.667; pen 3 57.132. It is concluded that cage density affects consumption and average daily gain.
