Wilayah Sukabumi merupakan salah satu wilayah di Jawa Barat bagian selatan yang rawan terjadi gempabumi karena dilalui Sesar Cimandiri. Sesar aktif ini merupakan episenter gempabumi, sehingga diperlukan mitigasi gempabumi untuk mengurangi risiko. Salah satu upaya untuk mitigasi dan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan nilai peak ground acceleration (PGA). Pada penelitian ini, nilai PGA dihitung menggunakan rumus empiris Boore dan Atkinson 2008, kemudian dikonversi ke skala MMI menggunakan persamaan Worden 2012 untuk menentukan tingkat risiko. Parameter yang digunakan yaitu nilai magnitudo, episenter, hiposenter, amplifikasi lapangan dan kecepatan gelombang geser (Vs30). Data gempabumi dengan magnitudo M 4,0 - M 7,0 dan kedalamannya 0-60 km periode 1939 - Juli 2024 dari USGS di wilayah koordinat -6,83 sampai -7,13º dan 106,45 sampai 107,06º digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian, wilayah Sukabumi memiliki rentang nilai PGA 18 - 119 gal dengan tingkat risiko III - VI MMI. Nilai PGA dipetakan dengan Software ArCgis 10.8.

Sukabumi region is one of the areas in southern West Java that is prone to earthquakes because it is traversed by the Cimandiri Fault. This active fault is the epicenter of the earthquake, so earthquake mitigation is needed to reduce the risk. One of the efforts for mitigation and the purpose of this research is to determine the peak ground acceleration (PGA) value. In this study, the PGA value is calculated using the empirical formula of Boore and Atkinson 2008, then converted to the MMI scale using the Worden 2012 equation to determine the risk level. The parameters used are magnitude, epicenter, hypocenter, field amplification and shear wave velocity (Vs30). Earthquake data with magnitude M 4.0 - M 7.0 and depth 0-60 km for the period 1939 - July 2024 from USGS in the coordinates of -6.83 to -7.13º and 106.45 to 107.06º were used in this study. As a result, Sukabumi region has a PGA value range of 18 - 119 gal with a risk level of III - VI MMI. The PGA value was mapped with ArCgis 10.8 software.
