HIERARKI KEBUTUHAN MASLOW PADA TOKOH IMELDA SHAFIRA DALAM NOVEL PASIEN KARYA NAOMI MIDORI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh Imelda Shafira dan hiererki kebutuhan Maslow pada tokoh Imelda Shafira dalam novel Pasien karya Naomi Midori. Objek penelitian ini, yaitu novel Pasien karya Naomi Midori yang diterbitkan oleh Penerbit Haru pada tahun 2024 dengan total 120 halaman. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun hasil penelitian ini, tokoh Imelda digamabrkan dengan sosok anak perempuan pertama yang mandiri, cerdas, kritis, berani, penuh tekad, realistis, pendiam, perhatian, percaya diri, keras kepala, rajin, teliti, misterius, penuh rahasia, tangguh, pendendam, dan brutal. Ia tinggal di sebuah kampung kecil dan tumbuh dalam kemiskinan dengan kehidupan keluarga yang penuh konflik. Kemudian, hierarki kebutuhan tokoh Imelda, yaitu the physiological needs (kebutuhan fisiologis), the safety needs (kebutuhan rasa aman), the belongingness and love needs (kebutuhan cinta dan rasa memiliki-dimiliki), the esteem needs (kebutuhan harga diri) telah terpenuhi.

This study aims to describe the character of Imelda Shafira and analyze Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as reflected in the character Imelda Shafira in the novel Pasien by Naomi Midori. The object of this research is the novel Pasien by Naomi Midori, published by Haru Publisher in 2024 with a total of 120 pages. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study show that Imelda is portrayed as the first daughter who is independent, intelligent, critical, brave, determined, realistic, quiet, caring, confident, stubborn, diligent, meticulous, mysterious, full of secrets, resilient, vengeful, and brutal. She lives in a small village and grows up in poverty within a family full of conflict. Regarding Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Imelda has fulfilled the physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness and love needs, and esteem needs. However, the need for self-actualization remains unfulfilled.
