PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SELF- DIRECTED LEARNING (SDL) BERBANTUAN MEDIA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS (Studi Kasus Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto)

Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan pada kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi masih rendah hingga sedang. Indikator situation berada dalam kategori sangat rendah (40%), reason (57,5%), focus(45%), dan overview (52,5%) dalam kategori sedang. Sementara itu, indikator inference (62,5%) dan clarity (75%) termasuk kategori tinggi. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan perlu difokuskan pada indikatorindikator yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi Experimental yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran SelfDirected Learning (SDL) berbantuan media Artificial Intelligence (AI) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 144 siswa kelas XI peminatan ekonomi. Sampel sebanyak 68 siswa dari dua kelas dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data meliputi analisis instrumen, uji prasyarat, independent sample t-test, method sucsessive interval (MSI), dan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang menggunakan model Self-Directed Learning (SDL) berbantuan media Artificial Intelligence (AI) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL); dan (2) model Self-Directed Learning (SDL) berbantuan media Artificial Intelligence (AI) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

A preliminary study conducted in Grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto revealed that students’ critical thinking skills in economics were mostly in the very low to moderate category. The situation indicator was in the very low category (40%), while reason (57.5%), focus (45%), and overview (52.5%) were categorized as moderate. Meanwhile, inference (62.5%) and clarity (75%) were in the high category. Therefore, improvement efforts should focus on the weaker indicators. This quantitative research employed a Quasi-Experimental method to analyze the effect of the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) on students' critical thinking skills in economics at SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto for the 2024/2025 academic year. The population consisted of 144 Grade XI students majoring in economics. A total of 68 students from two classes were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques included instrument testing, prerequisite tests, independent sample t-test, Method Successive Interval (MSI), and simple regression analysis. The findings show that: (1) there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students taught using the AI-assisted SDL model and those taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model; and (2) the AI-assisted Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model has a positive and significant effect on students' critical thinking skills.
