Latar Belakang: Prevalensi penderita DM di Indonesia pada tahun 2021 adalah sebanyak 19,4 juta jiwa. Pasien dengan DM memiliki risiko lebih tinggi 2 sampai 4 kali mengalami perubahan pada profil lipid, salah satunya adalah kadar HDL. Buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) dan madu berpotensi menjadi pilihan terapi dalam mengontrol profil lipid pada pasien DM tipe 2. Tujuan: Mengetahui efek kombinasi jus buah mengkudu dan madu terhadap kadar HDL pada tikus model DM tipe 2. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen laboratorium dengan desain studi post-test only with control group. Sampel berjumlah 35 ekor tikus yang dibagi menjadi 7 kelompok: KS (kontrol sehat), KD (kontrol diabetes), P1 (diinduksi DMT2 kemudian diberikan 0,72 mL/200g jus buah mengkudu), P2 (diinduksi DMT2 kemudian diberikan 0,2 mL/200g madu), P3 (diinduksi DMT2 kemudian diberikan kombinasi 0,36 mL/200g jus buah mengkudu dan 0,2 mL/200g madu), P4 (diinduksi DMT2 kemudian diberikan kombinasi 0,72 mL/200g jus buah mengkudu dan 0,2 mL/200g madu), P5 (diinduksi DMT2 kemudian diberikan kombinasi 1,44 mL/200g jus buah mengkudu dan 0,2 mL/200g madu). Kadar HDL dianalisis secara enzimatis dengan spektrofotometer menggunakan commercial kit Diasys. Data kadar HDL yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA. Hasil: Rerata kadar HDL kelompok dari yang tertinggi hingga terendah secara berturut-turut, yaitu kelompok KS, kemudian disusul dengan kelompok P5, P4, P1, P3, P2, dan kelompok KD. Hasil analisis uji One Way ANOVA menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kadar HDL yang signifikan diantara seluruh kelompok perlakuan. Pada uji Post Hoc Tukey’s HSD, kadar HDL antar seluruh kelompok berbeda secara signifikan, kecuali pada kelompok KS dengan P5. Kesimpulan: Semakin tinggi dosis mengkudu pada kombinasi jus buah mengkudu dan madu, semakin tinggi pula peningkatan kadar HDL pada tikus yang diinduksi DM tipe 2, yang mana dosis paling efektif adalah kombinasi 1,44 mL/200g jus buah mengkudu dan 0,2 mL/200g madu.

Background: The prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia reached 19.4 million cases in 2021. Patients with DM are 2 to 4 times more likely to experience changes in lipid profiles, including HDL levels. Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L.) and honey have the potential to be therapeutic options for managing lipid profiles in type 2 DM patients.
Objective: To investigate the effect of noni fruit juice and honey combination on HDL levels in type 2 DM rat models.
Research Methods: This laboratory experimental study employed a post-test only with control group design. A total of 35 rats were divided into 7 groups: KS (healthy control), KD (diabetic control), P1 (induced with T2DM and given 0.72 mL/200g noni fruit juice), P2 (induced with T2DM and given 0.2 mL/200g honey), P3 (induced with T2DM and given a combination of 0.36 mL/200g noni fruit juice and 0.2 mL/200g honey), P4 (induced with T2DM and given a combination of 0.72 mL/200g noni fruit juice and 0.2 mL/200g honey), and P5 (induced with T2DM and given a combination of 1.44 mL/200g noni fruit juice and 0.2 mL/200g honey). HDL levels were enzymatically analyzed using a spectrophotometer with a commercial Diasys kit. The obtained HDL level data were then statistically analyzed using One Way ANOVA test.
Results: The mean HDL levels from the highest to the lowest were observed in the KS group, followed by P5, P4, P1, P3, P2, and KD. One-Way ANOVA analysis indicated significant differences in HDL levels among all groups. Post Hoc Tukey’s HSD test revealed significant differences between all groups except KS and P5.
Conclusion: Higher doses of noni fruit juice in combination with honey resulted in higher HDL levels in type 2 DM-induced rats, with the most effective dose being a combination of 1.44 mL/200g noni fruit juice and 0.2 mL/200g honey.
