The Influence of Psychological Empowerment on Job Performance with Emotional Intelligence as a Mediator at DJPb Central Java Regional Office

Makalah ini mengkaji peran mediasi kecerdasan emosional dalam hubungan antara pemberdayaan psikologis dan kinerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif , menggunakan desain penelitian survei dengan sampel 42 responden dari Kantor DJPb Jawa Tengah. Desain penelitian eksplanatori diadopsi untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara pemberdayaan psikologis, kecerdasan emosional, dan kinerja melalui pengujian hipotesis. PLS-SEM digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis tersebut. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pemberdayaan psikologis memiliki hubungan negatif dengan kinerja di Kantor DJPb Jawa Tengah. Selanjutnya, pemberdayaan psikologis memiliki hubungan positif dengan kecerdasan emosional. Selain itu, kecerdasan emosional memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan kinerja. Penelitian juga mengidentifikasi bahwa kecerdasan emosional memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara pemberdayaan psikologis dan kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil ini, manajemen Kantor DJPb Jawa Tengah harus memberikan perhatian penting terhadap pemberdayaan psikologis karyawan sebagai sumber daya kerja, karena hal ini meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional dan memperbaiki kinerja.

This paper examines the role of emotional intelligence mediation in the relationship between psychological empowerment and job performance. A quantitative approach was used, employing a survey research design with a sample of 42 respondents from the Central Java DJPb Office. An explanatory research design was adopted to explain the relationship between psychological empowerment, emotional intelligence, and job performance through hypothesis testing. PLS-SEM was utilized to test these hypotheses. The findings revealed that psychological empowerment has a negative relationship with job performance at the Central Java DJPb Office. Furthermore, psychological empowerment has a positive relationship with emotional intelligence. In addition, emotional intelligence has a significant positive relationship with job performance. It was also identified that emotional intelligence partially mediates the relationship between psychological empowerment and job performance. Based on these results, the management of the Central Java DJPb Office should pay critical attention to employee psychological empowerment as a job resource, as it enhances emotional intelligence and improves job performance.
