Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang ekranisasi atau pengadaptasian sebuah karya sastra berupa manga berjudul Inuyashiki ke dalam film live action Inuyashiki. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengkaji perbedaan antara manga dan film live action Inuyashiki menggunakan pendekatan ekranisasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode simak dan teknik catat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa tangkapan layar dan kutipan dialog yang diambil dari manga dan film Inuyashiki. Terdapat 29 data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu struktural fiksi (Nurgiyantoro, 1994)  dan ekranisasi (Eneste, 1989). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 19 penciutan, yakni 9 pada alur, 4 pada tokoh, dan 6 pada latar, yang terjadi karena keterbatasan durasi film. Tidak ada penambahan unsur cerita dalam adaptasi film. Selain itu, terdapat 10 perubahan bervariasi, yaitu 5 pada alur, 2 pada tokoh, dan 3 pada latar. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara manga dan film. Perbedaan yang terjadi dalam proses ekranisasi disebabkan oleh penyesuaian cerita manga terhadap durasi film yang terbatas.

This research examines the ecranization or adaptation of a literary work in the form of a manga entitled Inuyashiki into the live action film Inuyashiki. This research aims to examine the differences between the manga and the live-action film Inuyashiki using the ekranization approach. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection process used the observation method combined with the note-taking technique. The data for this study includes screenshots and dialog excerpts taken from the Inuyashiki manga and film, with a total of 29 data points analyzed. The theories used to analyze the data are structural fiction (Nurgiyantoro, 1994) and ekranisasi (Eneste, 1989). The results showed that there were 19 omissions, namely 9 in the plot, 4 in the characters, and 6 in the setting, which occurred due to the limited duration of the movie. There are no additional story elements in the movie adaptation. In addition, there are 10 varied changes, namely 5 in the plot, 2 in the characters, and 3 in the setting. The results of this study show that there are differences between the manga and the movie. The differences that occur in the process of ecranization are caused by the adjustment of the manga story to the duration of the film.
