Pengaruh Biochar Terhadap Karakter Fisiologi dan Hasil Aneka Tanaman Kacang

Berbagai jenis kacang seperti kacang kedelai, kacang hijau, dan kacang merah sangat digemari dan banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Permintaan pasar akan berbagai jenis kacang terus meningkat, namun belum dapat terpenuhi. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu menggunakan pembenah tanah berupa biochar untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil dan menjaga ekosistem lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian biochar terhadap karakter fisiologi serta hasil produksi tanaman kacang kedelai, kacang hijau, dan kacang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan Desember 2023 sampai April 2024. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Singasari Kawaranglewas, Laboratorium Kebun Percobaan, Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, dan Laboratorium Agroekologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman bulan Desember 2023 hingga April 2024. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan percobaan yang dirancang dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Variabel yang diamati meliputi jumlah dan kerapatan stomata, luas daun, kehijauan daun, kandungan klorofil, bobot kering tajuk vegetatif, bobot akar vegetatif, bobot tajuk generatif, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, bobot biji per tanaman, bobot 100 biji, dan indeks panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian biochar dengan dosis 10 ton/ha meningkatkan bobot kering akar fase vegetatif akhir. Penggunaan jenis tanaman memiliki nilai berbeda nyata pada kerapatan stomata, luas daun, bobot kering tajuk vegetatif, bobot kering akar vegetatif, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, bobot biji per tanaman, bobot 100 biji, dan indeks panen. Terjadi interaksi antara jenis tanaman dan dosis biochar terhadap bobot kering akar fase akhir vegetatif, yaitu pada jenis tanaman kedelai dan dosis biochar 10ton/ha hasil tertingginya.

Various types of beans such as soybeans, green beans, and red beans are very popular and widely used by the Indonesian people. The high market demand for beans has not been met. Efforts that can be made are using soil conditioners in the form of biochar to increase yields and maintain the environmental ecosystem. The study was conducted to determine the effect of biochar on the physiological characteristics and production of soybeans, green beans, and red beans. The study was conducted from December 2023 to April 2024. The study was conducted in Singasari Kawaranglewas Village, Experimental Garden Laboratory, Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, and Agroecology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University from December 2023 to April 2024. The study used an experimental design designed with a Randomized Block Design (RAK). The variables observed included the number and density of stomata, leaf area, leaf greenness, chlorophyll content, vegetative crown dry weight, vegetative root weight, generative crown weight, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, 100 seed weight, and harvest index. The results showed that the administration of biochar at a dose of 10 tons/ha increased the dry weight of the roots of the final vegetative phase. The use of plant types had significantly different values in stomata density, leaf area, vegetative crown dry weight, vegetative root dry weight, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, 100 seed weight, and harvest index. There was an interaction between plant type and biochar dose on the dry weight of the roots of the final vegetative phase, namely in the type of soybean plant and the highest biochar dose of 10 tons/ha.
