Penelitian ini membahas tentang hasrat tokoh utama dalam drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Lacan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan 1) Liyan (the Other), dan 2) pembentukan hasrat narsisistik dan hasrat anaklitik melalui penanda utama (master signifier) dan objet petit α (objek-penyebab-hasrat), pada tokoh utama Hanaoka Nao sebagai subjek yang berkekurangan dalam drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru. Lacan merumuskan tiga landasan pembeda hasrat pada tatanan simbolik, imajiner, dan real (fantasi), di antaranya membahas pembentukan hasrat berdasarkan objek ‘keliyanan’-nya. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tangkapan layar adegan dan transkrip dialog yang berkaitan dengan hasrat tokoh utama dalam drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan fenomena-fenomena dalam data melalui interpretasi dan pendekatan naturalistik. Sebagai subjek berkekurangan, manifestasi hasrat Hanaoka Nao merupakan hasil represi dan kondensasi atas keterpisahannya dengan sosok ibu (penanda maternal). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu ditemukannya hasrat narsisistik aktif, hasrat narsisistik pasif, dan hasrat anaklitik aktif pada tatanan simbolik beserta penanda ‘sakura’, ‘wagashi-shokunin’, dan ‘kogetsuan’ yang menjadi kekuatan pendorong hasrat. Selanjutnya, ditemukan objek α, yaitu ‘wagashi’ yang berperan dalam pembentukan hasrat narsisistik aktif dan pasif pada tatanan real (fantasi).

This research discusses about the desire of the main character in Japanese drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru through Lacan’s theory of psychoanalysis. The purpose of this research is to describe 1) the Other, and 2) the formation of narcissistic desires and anaclitic desires through master signifier and objet petit α (object-cause-of desire), of Hanaoka Nao as the main character with a lack of being in Japanese drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru. Lacan formulated three fundamental point to distinguish desire in the symbolic, imaginary, and real orders, which includes discussing the formation of desire based on the object of 'otherness'. The data in this research are in the form of screenshots of scenes and dialog transcripts related to the main character's desires in Japanese drama Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru. The used method is a qualitative descriptive method, specifically by describing and representing the phenomena in the data through interpretation and a naturalistic approach. As a deficient subject, Hanaoka Nao's manifestation of desires are the result of repression and condensation of her separation from her mother figure as a maternal signifier. The results of this research are the identification of active narcissistic desire, passive narcissistic desire, and active anaklitik desire on the symbolic order along with the signifiers 'sakura', 'wagashi-shokunin', and 'kogetsuan' which become the driving force of desire. Furthermore, the α-object 'wagashi' was found to play a role in the formation of active and passive narcissistic desire at the real order.
