Pengaruh Formula Kasgot yang Diperkaya Biochar dan Zeolit terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea mays L. Saccharata Sturt) di Tanah Ultisol

Jagung manis memiliki peluang pasar yang besar dan permintaan yang terus meningkat. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan perluasan lahan seperti ultisol untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Tanah ultisol merupakan tanah yang miskin unsur hara terutama kandungan bahan organik. Bahan organik yang dimanfaatkan yaitu kasgot. Kasgot yaitu sisa biokonversi larva Hermetia illucens. Tetapi, kasgot memiliki kekurangan, tingginya konsentrasi Fe Total yang melebihi standar yaitu 30748,79 ppm yang berpotensi meracuni tanaman. Kasgot memiliki kandungan N 1,90% dan C/N ratio 10,57 yang hasilnya di bawah standar Kepmentan RI No. 261/KPTS/SR.310/M/4/2019. Terkait kekurangan kasgot, dapat diatasi dengan penambahan biochar yang berpengaruh terhadap perbaikan kualitas kesuburan tanah (C-organik dan KTK). Legum kacang tanah dapat ditambahkan untuk meningkatkan kandungan hara N. Hal itu didukung zeolit untuk mengikat hara yang tersedia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui formula kasgot yang diperkaya biochar dan zeolit yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) non faktorial. Perlakuannya adalah K0 : kontrol negatif (air), K1: kontrol positif (pupuk NPK), K2 : kasgot 100%, K3 : kasgot 88% + biochar 5% + legum 2% + zeolit 5%, K4 : kasgot 76% + biochar 10% + legum 4% + zeolit 10%, K5 : kasgot 64% + biochar 15% + legum 6% + zeolit 15%, dan K6 : kasgot 52% + biochar 20% + legum 8% + zeolit 20%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji F pada taraf kesalahan 5% dan apabila berbeda nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan K2 (kasgot 100%) memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada pertumbuhan tanaman jagung manis jika ditinjau dari tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun dan luas daun.

Sweet corn has a large market opportunity and demand continues to increase. Therefore, land expansion such as ultisol is needed to overcome this problem. Ultisol soil is soil that is poor in nutrients, especially organic matter. The organic material used is kasgot. Kasgot is the remaining bioconversion of Hermetia illucens larvae. However, kasgot has a drawback, the high concentration of Total Fe which exceeds the standard, namely 30748.79 ppm, which has the potential to poison plants. Kasgot has an N content of 1.90% and a C/N ratio of 10.57, the results of which are below the standards of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Agriculture Decree No. 261/KPTS/SR.310/M/4/2019. Regarding the lack of kasgot, it can be overcome by adding biochar which has an effect on improving the quality of soil fertility (C-organic and KTK). Peanut legumes can be added to increase the N nutrient content. This is supported by zeolite to bind the available nutrients so that the nutrients are still there. The aim of this research is to determine the kasgot formula enriched with biochar and zeolite which can increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. The design used is a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK). The treatments were K0: negative control (water), K1: positive control (NPK fertilizer), K2: 100% kasgot, K3: 88% kasgot + 5% biochar + 2% legumes + 5% zeolite, K4: 76% kasgot + biochar 10% + legumes 4% + zeolite 10%, K5 : kasgot 64% + biochar 15% + legumes 6% + zeolite 15%, and K6 : kasgot 52% + biochar 20% + legumes 8% + zeolite 20%. The data obtained were analyzed using the F test at an error level of 5% and if they were significantly different then continued with Duncan's multiple range test at an error level of 5%. The results of the research showed that K2 treatment (100% cashgot) had the best effect on the growth of sweet corn plants when viewed from plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area.
