Dampak Pandemi Covid-19 terhadap Performa Produksi dan Harga Ayam Niaga Pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1). Mengetahui nilai performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas dan; 2). Mengkaji dampak pandemi terhadap performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan menggunakan metode survey di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas. Penentuan sampel wilayah menggunakan metode Stratified Random Sampling dengan total 80 peternak ayam niaga pedaging di daerah Kabupaten Banyumas yang terdiri dari data sebelum pandemi sejumlah 40 sampel dan data pasca pandemi sejumlah 40 sampel. Performa produksi dianalisis dengan menghitung mortalitas rata-rata bobot badan akhir, Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR), dan indeks performa (IP) sedangkan untuk harga ayam niaga pedaging didapatkan dari recording peternak atau informasi dari mitra terkait. Dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap performa produksi dan harga ayam niaga pedaging dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1). Mortalitas pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 5,94, sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 3,80. Bobot badan akhir pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 2053 gram sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 2202 gram. FCR pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 1,61% sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 1,52%. IP pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 340 sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar 391. Harga ayam niaga pedaging pada masa sebelum pandemi Covid-19 sebesar Rp 17.823 sedangkan pada pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebesar Rp 20.157; 2). Terdapat perbedaan adanya pandemi Covid-19 terhadap performa produksi akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Nilai mortalitas dan FCR ayam niaga pedaging lebih rendah dibandingkan sebelum pandemi sedangkan nilai IP, bobot badan akhir dan harga ayam niaga pedaging mengalami kenaikan setelah pandemi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut terdapat perbedaan adanya pandemi Covid-19 terhadap mortalitas, FCR, IP, bobot badan akhir dan harga ayam niaga pedaging. Hasil penelitian ini juga memberikan gambaran tentang dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap usaha peternakan ayam niaga pedaging dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan peternak ayam niaga pedaging di Kabupaten Banyumas.

The purpose of this research is: 1) To determine the production performance values and prices of commercial broiler chickens in Banyumas Regency; and 2) To assess the impact of the pandemic on the production performance and prices of commercial broiler chickens in Banyumas Regency. The sampling method was conducted using a survey method in the Banyumas Regency area. The determination of the sample area used the Stratified Random Sampling method with a total of 80 commercial broiler chicken farmers in the Banyumas Regency area, consisting of 40 samples before the pandemic and 40 samples after the pandemic. Production performance was analyzed by calculating average mortality, final body weight, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), and Performance Index (PI), while the prices of commercial broiler chickens were obtained from farmer records or information from relevant partners. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on production performance and prices of commercial broiler chickens was analyzed using the t-test. The results of this research are: 1) Mortality rates before the Covid-19 pandemic were 5.94, while after the pandemic, they were 3.80. Final body weight before the Covid-19 pandemic was 2053 grams, whereas after the pandemic, it increased to 2202 grams. FCR before the Covid-19 pandemic was 1.61%, and after the pandemic, it decreased to 1.52%. PI before the Covid-19 pandemic was 340, while after the pandemic, it rose to 391. The prices of commercial broiler chickens before the Covid-19 pandemic were IDR 17,823, and after the pandemic, they increased to IDR 20,157; 2) There are differences in the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on production performance due to the pandemic. Mortality and FCR values of commercial broiler chickens were lower after the pandemic, while PI, final body weight, and prices increased. Based on the results of this research, there are differences in the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mortality rates, FCR, PI, final body weight, and prices of commercial broiler chickens. This research also provides insights into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the commercial broiler chicken farming industry and can be considered by policymakers and commercial broiler chicken farmers in Banyumas Regency.
