Kajian psikologi sastra merupakan ilmu yang mengkaji karya sastra dari sudut aktivitas kejiwaan tokoh ataupun pengarang. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bentuk kepribadian tokoh Marni dalam novel Entrok karya Okky Madasari dengan menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kepribadian tokoh utama dalam novel Entrok dengan menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik membaca dan mencatat dari sumber data. Berdasarkan fokus penelitian, hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan perkembangan kepribadian tokoh Marni dalam novel Entrok karya Okky Madasari menggunakan teori psikologi individual Alfred Adler. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, telah ditemukan enam prinsip kepribadian pada tokoh Marni. Prinsip tersebut diantaranya: prinsip rasa rendah diri, prinsip tujuan semu, prinsip gaya hidup, prinsip minat sosial, prinsip diri kreatif dan prinsip superioritas. Prinsip rasa rendah diri pada tokoh utama dimulai saat menyadari bahwa dirinya bergantung pada orang lain dan tidak lahir dari keluarga yang mampu secara finansial. Ketidakmampuan memunculkan harapan-harapan semu yang mendorong seseorang untuk melakukan perubahan menuju superioritas. Berawal dari gaya hidup tokoh utama yang kerja keras, ulet, berani dan mandiri mampu menjadikan sebuah motivasi untuk bergerak meraih apa yang diharapkan.  Minat sosial pada tokoh utama dipengaruhi oleh rasa menyatu dengan anggota masyarakat, sehingga ia menyadari bahwa hubungan sosial yang baik sangat penting. Pemikiran dan ide yang kreatif juga berperan penting untuk mendorong tokoh utama menuju superioritas. Prinsip superioritas merupakan hasil dari kelima prinsip yang sudah dilewati oleh tokoh utama. Superioritas muncul saat tokoh utama ingin menyembunyikan rasa rendah diri dalam dirinya yang bertujuan untuk meraih keberhasilan.

The study of literary psychology is a science that examines literary works from the perspective of the psychological activities of the characters or authors. The focus of this research is the personality of the character Marni in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari using literary psychology studies. The aim of this research is to analyze the personality of the main character in the novel Entrok using literary psychology studies. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using reading and note-taking techniques from data sources. Based on the research focus, the results of this study describe the personality development of the character Marni in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari using Alfred Adler's individual psychology theory. Based on the research results, six personality principles have been found in the character Marni. These principles include: the principle of inferiority, the principle of false goals, the principle of lifestyle, the principle of social interest, the principle of creative self and the principle of superiority. The principle of feeling inferior in the main character begins when he realizes that he is dependent on other people and was not born into a financially well-off family. Inability gives rise to false hopes that encourage a person to make changes towards superiority. Starting from the lifestyle of the main character who works hard, is tenacious, brave and independent, it can become a motivation to move to achieve what is hoped for. The main character's social interest is influenced by his sense of unity with members of society, so he realizes that good social relations are very important. Creative thoughts and ideas also play an important role in pushing the main character towards superiority. The principle of superiority is the result of the five principles that have been passed by the main character. Superiority arises when the main character wants to hide his feelings of inferiority in order to achieve success.
