PENGARUH WORK LIFE BALANCE, EFIKASI DIRI, DAN ETHICAL LEADERSHIP TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN DENGAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SEBAGAI VARIABEL MEDIASI (Studi pada UMKM di Kecamatan Purwanegara)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji work life balance, efikasi diri dan ethical leadership akan pengaruhnya pada kinerja karyawan UMKM, diperluas dengan memasukkan employee engagement sebagai mediasi. Variabel yang diteliti adalah kinerja karyawan sebagai variabel dependen, untuk variabel independen meliputi work life balance, efikasi diri, dan ethical leadership, serta employee engagement sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner melalui kertas dan google form. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan UMKM di wilayah Kecamatan Purwanegara. Sebanyak 100 karyawan UMKM dipilih sebagai sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Kriteria pemilihan responden yaitu (1) karyawan UMKM yang berada di Kecamatan Purwanegara, (2) sudah bekerja minimal 3 bulan dan (3) sudah berkeluarga atau memiliki keluarga. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) melalui software SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) work life balance tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, (2) efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan, (3) ethical leadership memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan, (4) work life balance memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement, (5) efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement, (6) ethical leadership memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement, (7) employee engagement memediasi hubungan antara work life balance terhadap kinerja karyawan, (8) employee engagement tidak memediasi hubungan antara efikasi diri terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan (9) employee engagement tidak memediasi hubungan antara ethical leadership terhadap kinerja karyawan.

This study aims to develop and test work life balance, self-efficacy and ethical leadership for their influence on the performance of MSME employees, expanded by including employee engagement as mediation. The variable studied is employee performance as the dependent variable, for independent variables including work life balance, self-efficacy, and ethical leadership, and employee engagement as a mediating variable. Data collection methods with questionnaires via paper and google form. The population in this study were MSME employees in the Purwanegara District area. A total of 100 MSME employees were selected as samples using purposive sampling method. The criteria for selecting respondents are (1) MSME employees in Purwanegara District, (2) have worked for at least 3 months and (3) are married or have a family. The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method through SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that: (1) work life balance has no significant effect on employee performance, (2) self efficacy has a significant effect on employee performance, (3) ethical leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, (4) work life balance has a significant effect on employee engagement, (5) self efficacy has a significant effect on employee engagement, (6) ethical leadership has a significant influence on employee engagement, (7) employee engagement mediates the relationship between work life balance on employee performance, (8) employee engagement does not mediate the relationship between self efficacy on employee performance, and (9) employee engagement does not mediate the relationship between ethical leadership on employee performance.
