PENGARUH SIKAP PASIEN TERHADAP PERILAKU UPAYA PENCEGAHAN DAN PENGATASAN MEDICATION ERROR DI APOTEK PURWOKERTO

Medication error dapat terjadi pada semua fase pengobatan salah satunya yaitu fase administrasi oleh pasien. Frekuensi pasien dalam menyebabkan medication error diperkirakan antara 19-59%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran sikap dan perilaku pasien serta pengaruh sikap pasien terhadap perilaku pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error di apotek.Penelitian ini menggunakan studi non–eksperimental dengan pendekatan cross–sectional. Penentuan apotek sebagai lokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan total sampling pada 6 apotek dan pengambilan sampel responden dengan accidental sampling kepada 106 responden. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner dan dianalisis statistik untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap pasien terhadap perilaku pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error menggunakan uji korelasi spearman rank. Analisis sikap pasien terkait pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error diperoleh hasil sebanyak 94,3% pasien memiliki sikap positif. Sedangkan perilaku pasien terkait pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error yaitu 42,5% kategori baik; 36,8% kategori cukup dan 20,7% kategori kurang. Hasil uji korelasi spearman rank antara sikap terhadap perilaku pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error didapatkan p-value <0,001 dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,362. Terdapat pengaruh antara sikap terhadap perilaku pencegahan dan pengatasan medication error dengan korelasi lemah dan arah korelasi positif.

Medication errors can occur in all phases of treatment, one of which is the administration phase by the patient. The frequency of patients causing medication errors is estimated to be between 19-59%. This study aims to determine the description of patient attitudes and behavior as well as the influence of patient attitudes on behavior to prevent and management medication errors in pharmacies. This research uses a non-experimental study with a cross-sectional approach. Determining pharmacy store as research locations was carried out by total sampling at 6 pharmacy store and sampling respondents by accidental sampling to 106 respondents. The instrument of this research was a questionnaire and was statistically analyzed to determine the influence of patient attitudes on behavior to prevent and management medication errors using the spearman rank correlation test. Analysis of patient attitudes regarding preventing and management medication errors showed that 94.3% of patients had positive attitudes. Meanwhile, patient behavior related to preventing and management medication errors is 42.5% in the good category; 36.8% in the moderate category and 20.7% in the poor category. The results of the spearman rank correlation test between attitudes towards preventing behavior and management medication errors showed a p-value <0.001 with a correlation coefficient of 0.362. There is an influence between attitudes towards preventing behavior and management medication errors with a weak correlation and a positive correlation direction.
