The Effect of Company Size, Audit Tenure and Audit Committee Gender on Audit Delay with Financial Distress as a Moderating Variables

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menguji pengaruh dari ukuran perusahaan, audit tenure dan gender komite audit terhadap audit delay dengan financial distress sebagai variabel moderasi. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan mengecualikan perusahaan bidang keuangan. Total 111 perusahaan telah diambil sebagai sampel dari penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan Eviews-13 dalam penelitian ini sebagai alat untuk menganalisis data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif oleh ukuran perusahaan terhadap audit delay, audit tenure tidak berpengaruh terhadap audit delay, gender komite audit berpengaruh positif terhadap audit delay, financial distress memperlemah pengaruh ukuran perusahaan terhadap audit delay dan financial distress tidak dapat memoderas pengaruh audit tenure terhadap audit delay.

This research purpose is to test and analyze the effect of company size, audit tenure and audit committee gender on audit delay with financial distress as moderating variable. The object of this research is all of the company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with the exception of financial company. The total of 111 companies has been chosen as a sample using purposive sampling. This research used Eviews-13 as the analyzing tools of the data in this research. The research’s result shows that company size has negative effect on audit delay, audit tenure has no effect on audit delay, audit committee gender has positive effect on audit delay, financial distress can moderate the effect of company size on audit delay and financial distress can not moderate the effect of audit tenure on audit delay.
