Pengaruh Tele-Nutrition Education terhadap Perubahan Konsumsi Pangan dan Kualitas Diet pada Dewasa dengan Kelebihan Berat Badan

Latar Belakang : Kelebihan berat badan disebabkan oleh asupan energi berlebih atau pemakaian energi yang kurang. Tele-nutrition merupakan metode untuk memberikan pelayanan gizi secara jarak jauh dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tele-nutrition education terhadap perubahan konsumsi pangan dan kualitas diet pada dewasa dengan kelebihan berat badan. Metode : Jenis penelitian quasi experimental dengan rancangan pre-test post-test group control design. Sebanyak 52 responden dewasa berusia 19-49 tahun diambil dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Data konsumsi pangan dan kualitas diet diambil melalui recall 2x24 jam, pemberian materi edukasi menggunakan media leaflet, poster, power point, dan video. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample T-test dan wilcoxon. Hasil : Terdapat pengaruh tele-nutrition education terhadap perubahan konsumsi pangan yaitu, asupan energi (p=0,000;0,000), asupan protein (p=0,001;p=0,025), asupan lemak (p=0,006;p=0,004), asupan karbohidrat (p=0,000;0,001), dan asupan serat (p=0,006). Tidak terdapat pengaruh tele-nutrition education terhadap perubahan asupan serat pada kelompok kontrol (p=0,169). Terdapat pengaruh tele-nutrition education terhadap perubahan kualitas diet (p=0,001;0,001). Kesimpulan : Terdapat pengaruh tele-nutrition education terhadap perubahan asupan energi, protein, lemak, karbohidrat, serat, dan kualitas diet pada kedua kelompok tetapi tidak terdapat pengaruh asupan serat pada kelompok kontrol.

Background: Overweight/obesity is caused of excess energy intake or insufficient energy consumption. Tele-nutrition is a method for providing nutritional services remotely using information technology and tele-communications. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of tele-nutrition education on changes in food consumption and diet quality in overweight adults. Methods: This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pre-test post-test group control design. A total of 52 adult respondents aged 19-49 years were taken using purposive sampling. Data on food consumption and diet quality were take through 2x24 hour recalls, providing educational materials using the media of leaflets, posters, power points, and videos. Data analysis used paired sample T-test and Wilcoxon. Results: There is an effect of tele-nutrition education on changes in food consumption, that is energy intake (p=0.000;0.000), protein intake (p=0.001;p=0.025), fat intake (p=0.006;p=0.004), carbohydrate intake (p =0.000;0.001), and fiber intake (p=0.006). There was no effect of tele-nutrition education on changes in fiber intake in the control group (p=0.169). There is an effect of tele-nutrition education on changes in diet quality (p=0.001; 0.001). Conclusion: There is an effect of tele-nutrition education on changes in energy intake, protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, and quality of diet in both groups but there is no effect of fiber intake after nutrition education in the control group.
