PENGARUH METODE SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN GIZI, TINGKAT KECUKUPAN ENERGI DAN PROTEIN IBU HAMIL (Studi di Desa Sumbang Kecamatan Sumbang Kabupaten Banyumas)

Latar belakang : Asupan gizi pada ibu hamil mengalami peningkatan selama masa kehamilan. Asupan gizi dapat dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan ibu mengenai gizi kehamilan. Salah satu upaya dalam mencegah dan mengurangi terjadinya masalah gizi ibu hamil dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian edukasi gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh metode small group discussion terhadap pengetahuan gizi, tingkat kecukupan energi dan protein ibu hamil. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasy experimental dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 31 ibu hamil di Desa Sumbang. Variabel terikat penelitian yaitu pengetahuan gizi, tingkat kecukupan energi dan protein. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil : Hasil analisis univariat diperoleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan gizi ibu hamil sebelum dan setelah pemberian edukasi sebesar 1,16 serta pada tingkat kecukupan energi tergolong kategori sangat kurang (58,1%) dan protein juga tergolong kategori sangat kurang (32,3%). Hasil analisis bivariat diperoleh terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dilihat pada nilai median sebelum pemberian edukasi sebesar 6 dan setelah edukasi menjadi 7 (p = 0,001) serta median tingkat kecukupan energi mengalami penurunan (p = 0,445) dan nilai median kecukupan protein juga menurun (p = 0,590). Kesimpulan : Terdapat pengaruh metode small group discussion terhadap pengetahuan gizi ibu hamil dan tidak terdapat pengaruh metode small group discussion terhadap tingkat kecukupan energi dan protein ibu hamil.

Background : Nutritional intake in pregnant women increases during pregnancy. Nutritional intake can be influenced by the mother's knowledge of pregnancy nutrition. One of the efforts to prevent and reduce the occurrence of nutritional problems for pregnant women can be done by providing nutrition education. This study aims to determine the effect of the small group discussion method on nutritional knowledge, the level of energy and protein adequacy of pregnant women. Methods : This study used a quasy experimental research design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique with a total of 31 pregnant women in Sumbang Village as respondents. The dependent variable of the research is knowledge of nutrition, level of energy and protein adequacy. Analysis of research data using the Wilcoxon test. Results : The results of univariate analysis obtained an increase in the average value of nutritional knowledge of pregnant women before and after providing education by 1.16 and at the energy adequacy level it was classified as very lacking (58.1%) and protein was also classified as very lacking (32.3). %). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was an increase in knowledge seen in the median value before giving education of 6 and after education it became 7 (p = 0.001) and the median energy adequacy level decreased (p = 0.445) and the median protein adequacy value also decreased (p = 0.590). Conclusion : There is an effect of the small group discussion method on the nutritional knowledge of pregnant women and there is no effect of the small group discussion method on the level of energy and protein adequacy of pregnant women.
