Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mendapatkan media tanam yang terbaik 
terhadap pertumbuhan 3 varietas tanaman selada pada sistem hidroponik deep flow 
technique.; 2) Mengetahui pertumbuhan varietas selada yang terbaik pada hidroponik 
deep flow technique; 3) Mengetahui interaksi media tanam dengan ketiga varietas 
selada pada sistem hidroponik deep flow technique. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 
Februari - Mei 2023 di Greenhouse milik bapak Eko, Dusun Gupakan, Desa Srowot, 
Kecamatan Kalibagor, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah 53191 dengan ketinggian 
tempat 500 dan analisis tanaman di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura 
Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Rancangan 
penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu Rancangan Acak Terbagi (split plot) dengan 2 
faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media tanam, yaitu rockwool (M1), spons (M2) 
dan cocopeat (M3). Faktor kedua adalah varietas selada yaitu, Grand Rapids (V1), 
Lectus F1 (M2) dan Bisi SL 02 (V3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media tanam 
spons menjadi media tanam terbaik pada pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun.
Varietas selada Bisi SL 02 menunjukkan bahwa varietas tersebut adalah varietas 
terbaik pada variabel jumlah daun, sedangkan interaksi antara media tanam dan 
varietas selada berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel luas daun minggu ke-1.

This study aims to: 1) Obtain the best growing media for the growth of 3 
varieties of lettuce in the hydroponic deep flow technique system; 2) Knowing the 
growth of the best lettuce varieties in the hydroponic deep flow technique; 3) 
Knowing the interaction of the planting medium with the three varieties of lettuce in 
the deep flow technique hydroponic system. This research was conducted in February 
- May 2023 at the Greenhouse owned by Mr. Eko, Gupakan Hamlet, Srowot Village, 
Kalibagor District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java 53191 with an altitude of 500 
and plant analysis at the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Faculty of 
Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The research design used 
was a split plot with 2 factors. The first factor is the type of planting medium, namely 
rockwool (M1), sponge (M2) and cocopeat (M3). The second factor was lettuce 
varieties namely, Grand Rapids (V1), Lectus F1 (M2) and Bisi SL 02 (V3). The 
results showed that sponge growing media was the best growing medium for 
observing plant height and number of leaves. The Bisi SL 02 lettuce variety showed 
that this variety was the best variety in the number of leaves variable, while the 
interaction between the planting medium and the lettuce variety had a significant 
effect on the leaf area variable in the 1st week.
