Analisis Potensi WIlayah Berbasis Komoditas Pertanian Tanaman Sayuran (Studi Kasus di Kabupaten Brebes)

Produksi tanaman sayuran di Kabupaten Brebes terbesar di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan berpotensi menjadi komoditas basis. Pengembangan potensi wilayah berbasis komoditas perlu difokuskan pada komoditas-komoditas tertentu yang dianggap mampu untuk meningkatkan perekonomian daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Menganalisis komoditas basis pada tanaman sayuran di Kabupaten Brebes. 2) Menganalisis pemusatan dan spesialisasi tanaman sayuran pada kecamatan di Kabupaten Brebes. 3) Menganalisis pertumbuhan, laju pertumbuhan yang cepat dan daya saing tanaman sayuran di Kabupaten Brebes. 4) Menganalisis tanaman sayuran yang diprioritaskan untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Brebes. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu Location Quotient (LQ), Lokalisasi, Spesialisasi, Shift Share dan penentuan prioritas pengembangan komoditas. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang berupa data produksi tanaman sayuran di Kabupaten Brebes tahun 2017-2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komoditas basis bawang merah di 11 kecamatan, cabai besar di 10 kecamatan, cabai rawit di 6 kecamatan, kentang dan kubis di 2 kecamatan. Terdapat pemusatan kentang dan kubis di Kecamatan Paguyangan dan Sirampog dan terdapat spesialisasi komoditas pada Kecamatan Salem, Paguyangan, Sirampog dan Tonjong. Seluruh komoditas mengalami pertumbuhan. Laju pertumbuhan bawang merah dan cabai rawit relatif lebih cepat. Seluruh komoditas memiliki daya saing di beberapa kecamatan. Prioritas pengembangan prioritas pertama (P1) yaitu bawang merah di 5 kecamatan dan cabai rawit di 2 kecamatan. Prioritas kedua (P2) yaitu bawang merah di 6 kecamatan, cabai rawit di 4 kecamatan, cabai besar di 5 kecamatan, kentang dan kubis di 1 kecamatan. Prioritas ketiga (P3) pada cabai besar di 5 kecamatan, kentang dan kubis di 1 kecamatan.

Vegetable crop production in Brebes Regency is the largest in Central Java Province and has the potential to become a base commodity. The development of commodity-based regional potential needs to be focused on certain commodities that are considered capable of improving the regional economy. This study aims to 1) Analyze the base commodities in vegetable crops in Brebes Regency. 2) Analyzing the concentration and specialization of vegetable crops in several sub-districts in Brebes Regency. 3) Analyzing the growth, rapid growth rate and competitiveness of vegetable crops in Brebes Regency. 4) Analyze vegetable crops that are prioritized for development in each sub-district in Brebes Regency. The analysis used is Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Localization, Specialization, Shift Share (SS) and determination of commodity development priorities. The data used is secondary data in the form of vegetable crop production data in Brebes Regency in 2017-2021. The results showed that there are base commodities, shallots in 11 sub-districts, chili pepper in 10 sub-districts, cayenne pepper in 6 sub-districts, potatoes and cabbage in 2 sub-districts. There is a concentration of potato and cabbage in Paguyangan and Sirampog sub-districts and there is commodity specialization in Salem, Paguyangan, Sirampog and Tonjong sub-districts. All vegetable commodities in Brebes Regency experienced growth. The growth rate of shallots and cayenne pepper is relatively faster. All commodities have competitiveness in several districts. The development priorities determined as the first priority (P1) on shallot are found in 5 sub-districts and cayenne pepper are found in 2 sub-districts. The second priority (P2) on shallot is in 6 sub-districts, cayenne pepper is in 4 sub-districts, chili pepper is in 5 sub-districts, potato and cabbage is in 1 sub-district. The third priority (P3) on chili pepper is found in 5 sub-districts, potato and cabbage are found in 1 sub-district.
