Motivasi Petani dalam Menanam Kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) di Desa Karangsalam Lor Kecamatan Baturraden Kabupaten Banyumas

Kabupaten Banyumas memiliki 17 kecamatan sentra penghasil kopi yang terdiri dari kopi arabika dan robusta, salah satunya adalah Kecamatan Baturraden tepatnya di Desa Karangsalam Lor. Kopi arabika merupakan salah satu komoditas yang dikembangkan oleh Desa Karangsalam Lor. Permasalahan yang dihadapi masih belum mampu menghasilkan produk olahan sesuai dengan permintaan pasar baik di dalam maupun luar negeri. Selain itu industri di pedesaan masih berskala kecil, padat karya, dan menggunakan teknologi yang masih sederhana yang kurang berorientasi pasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) mengetahui tingkat motivasi petani kopi arabika dari kegiatan usahatani di Desa Karangsalam Lor Kecamatan Baturraden Kabupaten Banyumas dan 2) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi petani kopi arabika di Desa Karangsalam Lor Kecamatan Baturraden Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan korelasional. Rancangan pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan sampling jenuh (sensus) dimana seluruh anggota Kelompok Usaha Perhutanan Sosial Subur Makmur sebagai sampel yang berjumlah 35 orang. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi Uji Validitas, Uji Reliabilitas, Skala Likert, Uji Asumsi Klasik, Koefisien Determinasi (R2), Uji F, Analisis Regresi Berganda, dan Uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan petani kopi arabika sebagian besar memiliki tingkat motivasi tinggi dengan persentase 94 persen. Variabel modal, luas lahan, pendidikan, umur, pengalaman, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, dan harga jual berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap variabel motivasi petani kopi arabika. Variabel yang mempengaruhi motivasi petani kopi arabika secara parsial yaitu harga jual. Bertambahnya harga jual, akan diikuti dengan peningkatan motivasi petani kopi arabika.

Banyumas Regency has 17 sub-districts that are coffee producing centers consisting of arabica and robusta coffee, one of which is Baturraden Sub-district, precisely in Karangsalam Lor Village. Arabica coffee is one of the commodities developed by Karangsalam Lor Village. The problems faced are still unable to produce processed products in accordance with market demand both at home and abroad. In addition, the industry in rural areas is still small-scale, labor-intensive, and uses simple technology that is less market-oriented. Such a situation has caused some farmers to be reluctant to continue their coffee cultivation, some also only carry out these activities as a part-time business. This will certainly have an impact on coffee cultivation activities in Karangsalam Lor Village. The objectives to be achieved from this research are 1) to determine the level of motivation of arabica coffee farmers from farming activities in Karangsalam Lor Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency and 2) to determine the factors that influence the motivation of arabica coffee farmers in Karangsalam Lor Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency. The research methods used in this study were descriptive and correlational methods. The sampling design in this study was carried out by saturated sampling (census) where all members of the Subur Makmur Social Forestry Business Group were sampled, totaling 35 people. The analysis used in this study includes Validity Test, Reliability Test, Likert Scale, Classical Assumption Test, Coefficient of Determination (R2), F Test, Multiple Regression Analysis, and t Test. The results showed that arabica coffee farmers mostly had a high level of motivation with a percentage of 94 percent. Variables of capital, land area, education, age, experience, number of family dependents, and selling price have a significant effect simultaneously on the motivation variable of arabica coffee farmers. The variable that partially affects the motivation of Arabica coffee farmers is the selling price. The increase in selling price will be followed by an increase in the motivation of Arabica coffee farmers.
