Kawasan konservasi perairan Nusa Penida terletak di Kabupaten Klungkung, Provinsi Bali. Kawasan ini memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi dan dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan pariwisata. Aktifitas wisata di wilayah ini telah memberikan tekanan terhadap sumber daya alam yang salah satunya adalah munculnya penyakit pada karang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis penyakit yang menyerang karang dan mengetahui nilai prevalensi penyakit karang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan survei menggunakan Underwater Photo Transect (UPT). Identifikasi penyakitnya dengan Coral Disease Handbook dan identifikasi genus karang dengan menggunakan Coral Finder Toolkit. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa jenis penyakit karang yang ditemukan di perairan Nusa Penida di 7 stasiun antara lain Black Band Disease, White Band Disease, Ulcerative White spot, White Syndrome, dan Red Band Disease. Nilai prevalensi yang tertinggi yaitu 23,81% pada penyakit Ulcerative White Spot dan nilai terendah pada penyakit Red Band Disease dengan nilai sebesar 2,17%. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada pengelola kawasan konservasi perairan Nusa Penida untuk melakukan pengawasan terhadap pola pemanfaatan perairan serta pemantauan secara berkala untuk mencegah terjadinya peningkatan penyakit pada karang.

Nusa Penida marine protected area is located in Klungkung Regency, Bali Province. Nusa Penida has high marine biodiversity and is utilized for tourism activities. Tourism activities in this area have put pressure on natural resources, one of which is the emergence of coral disease. This study aims to determine the types of diseases that infect corals and determine the prevalence value of coral disease. Underwater Photo Transect was applied in this study. The coral disease and its genus were identified by Coral Disease Handbook and Coral Finder Toolkit, respectively. The results showed that the types of coral disease found in Nusa Penida waters at 7 stations included Black Band Disease, White Band Disease, Ulcerative White spot, White Syndrome, and Red Band Disease. The highest and the lowest of disease prevalence were Ulcerative White Spots (23,81%) and Red Band Disease (2,17%), respectively. The results of this study recommend that the management of the Nusa Penida marine protected area supervise the pattern of water utilization and periodic monitoring to prevent an increase in coral disease.
