Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia cukup baik, hal ini dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya perekonomian Indonesia pada triwulan II tahun 2022 sebesar 5,01% dibandingkan triwulan sebelumnya. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahan pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah nilai tukar. Kurs mata uang asing menunjukkan nilai mata uang suatu negara yang diukur dalam mata uang negara lain. Nilai kurs mata uang dapat berubah dari waktu ke waktu. Dampak terburuk ketika nilai kurs suatu negara terdepresiasi adalah krisis ekonomi. Krisis ekonomi di Indonesia telah terjadi sebanyak tiga kali. Dari ketiga kasus krisis ekonomi di Indonesia, menurunnya pertumbuhan ekonomi selalu disertai dengan nilai tukar rupiah yang semakin naik. Hal ini menunjukkan keterkaitan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan nilai tukar rupiah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini membahas mengenai hubungan timbal balik (simultan) antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan nilai tukar rupiah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan model persamaan simultan dan mengetahui hubungan simultan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan nilai tukar rupiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah persamaan simultan dengan menggunakan estimasi Two Stage Least Squares Estimation (2SLS). Data yang digunakan adalah data time series pada tahun 2005 sampai 2022. Pada estimasi 2SLS dengan α = 5% diperoleh hasil model persamaan simultan pertumbuhan ekonomi dan model persamaan nilai tukar. Selain itu juga diperoleh bahwa nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai tukar. Hal ini berarti, kedua variabel tidak memiliki hubungan simultan.

Economic growth in Indonesia is quite good, this can be seen from the increase in the Indonesian economy in the second quarter of 2022 by 5.01% compared to the previous quarter. One of the factors that influence changes in economic growth is the exchange rate. Foreign currency exchange rates show the value of a country's currency as measured in another country's currency. Currency exchange rates may change from time to time. The worst impact when a country's exchange rate depreciates is an economic crisis. The economic crisis in Indonesia has occurred three times. Of the three cases of economic crisis in Indonesia, the decline in economic growth has always been accompanied by an increasing rupiah exchange rate. This shows the link between economic growth and the rupiah exchange rate. Therefore, this study discusses the reciprocal (simultaneous) relationship between economic growth and the rupiah exchange rate. This research focus to create a simultaneous equation model and obtain the simultaneous relationship between economic growth and the rupiah exchange rate. To condact the simultaneous equation we used estimation Two Stage Least Squares Estimation (2SLS). The data used is data time series in 2005 to 2022. In the 2SLS estimation with α = 5%, the results showed that there are two simultaneous equation model namely simultaneous equation model of economic growth and the exchange rate equation model. In addition, it was also found that the rupiah exchange rate had a significant effect on economic growth, while economic growth had no effect on the exchange rate. So, the two variables have no a simultaneous relationship.
