Penelitian ini berjudul Profil Pertumbuhan dan Persentase Berat Daging Kerang Hotate (Patinopecten yessoensis) pada Fase Pembesaran, di Teluk Funka Hokkaido, Jepang. Jepang merupakan salah satu negara kepulauan penghasil olahan laut terbesar di dunia dengan sebagian besar penduduknya mengkonsumsi olahan laut salah satunya yaitu kerang Hotate. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui karakter pertumbuhan kerang Hotate dari hubungan panjang-berat dan persentase berat daging kerang Hotate pada fase pembesaran di Teluk Funka Hokkaido, Jepang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode observasi dengan teknik random sampling yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus – Oktober 2022 di Teluk Funka Hokkaido, Jepang. Titik koordinat pada pengambilan sampel penelitian terletak pada 42°20’– 42°40’ Utara dan 140°00’– 141°00’ Timur dengan kedalaman 43 m. Hasil penelitian dari hubungan panjang berat pada bulan Agustus – Oktober menghasilkan allometrik negatif dengan konstanta b tertinggi sebesar 2,640 yang berarti pertumbuhan panjang lebih cepat dibandingkan berat tubuhnya. Persentase berat daging kerang Hotate (P. yessoensis) pada fase pembesaran di bulan Agustus, September dan Oktober menghasilkan persentase yaitu sebesar (31,03±4,70 %) sampai (35,70±5,41 %)

This study is entitled Growth Profile and Percentage of Meat Weight of Hotate Scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) in the Enlargement Phase, in Funka Bay Hokkaido, Japan. Japan is one of the largest marine-producing island countries in the world with most of its population consuming processed seafood, one of which is Hotate scallop. The purpose of the study was to determine the growth characteristics of Hotate scallop from the length-weight relationship and the percentage of Hotate scallop meat weight in the enlargement phase in Funka Bay, Hokkaido, Japan. The research method used observation method with random sampling technique conducted in August - October 2022 in Funka Bay Hokkaido, Japan. The coordinates of the sampling were located at 42°20'- 42°40' North and 140°00'- 141°00' East with a depth of 43m. The results of the study of the length-weight relationship in August - October resulted in a negative allometric with the highest constant b of 2.640, which means that the growth of length is faster than body weight. The percentage of Hotate scallop (P. yessoensis) meat weight in the enlargement phase in August, September and October resulted in a percentage of (31.03 ± 4.70%) to (35.70 ± 5.41%).
