ABSTRAK 
HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI DAN PERAN IBU DENGAN PERILAKU PERINEAL HYGIENE PADA REMAJA PUTRI AWAL

Latar Belakang : Masalah kesehatan reproduksi remaja disebabkan perilaku perineal hygiene yang buruk. Hal tersebut dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan dan perawatan remaja akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan perineal. Ibu diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi pada putrinya. Peran dan komunikasi ibu di masyarakat masih belum terlaksana dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan komunikasi dan peran ibu dengan perilaku perineal hygiene pada remaja putri awal. 
Metode : Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan total sampling, Jumlah responden memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan kriteria eksklusi sebanyak 82 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner komunikasi ibu dengan remaja, peran ibu tentang perilaku perineal hygiene, dan perilaku perineal hygiene remaja. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Chi Square. 
Hasil : Hasil penelitian, data demografi rentang usia ibu adalah 30-54 tahun, pendidikan ibu mayoritas peruguruan tinggi sebanyak 42 (51,2%), dan pekerjaan ibu mayoritas bekerja sebesar 59 (72,0). Hasil analisis komunikasi menunjukan komunikasi kurang 55 (67,1%) dan peran ibu kurang 32 (39%), ananlisis perilaku perineal hygiene remaja buruk 53 (64,9%). Uji korelasi menunjukan adanya hubungan signifikan antara komunikasi ibu dengan perilaku perineal hygiene remaja putri dengan nilai p=0,003, dan peran ibu dengan perilaku perineal hygiene remaja putri dengan nilai p=0,004.
Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara komunikasi dan peran ibu dengan perilaku perineal hygiene pada remaja putri awal.

Background: Adolescent reproductive health problems are caused by poor perineal hygiene behavior. Due to lack of knowledge and care of adolescents about the importance of maintaining perineal hygiene. Mothers are expected to provide information to their daughters. The role and communication of mothers in the community is still not well implemented. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between communication and the role of mothers with perineal hygiene behavior in early adolescent girls. 
Methods: The study used a cross sectional approach using total sampling, the number of respondents met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria as many as 82 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis using Chi Square correlation test. 
Results: The results of the study, the demographic data of the minimum mother's age was 30 and the maximum mother's age was 54, the majority of the mother's education was higher education, and the majority of the mother's work was working. The results of the communication analysis showed that communication was lacking 55 (67.1%) and the mother's role was lacking 32 (39%), the analysis of adolescent perineal hygiene behavior was poor 53 (64.9%). Correlation test showed a significant relationship between maternal communication and perineal hygiene behavior of adolescent girls with a value of p=0.003. There is a significant relationship between the role of the mother and the perineal hygiene behavior of adolescent girls with a value of p = 0.004.
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between communication and mother's role with perineal hygiene behavior in early adolescent girls.
