Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta mengkaji konsumsi bahan kering dan air minum kambing Sapera jantan yang diberi pakan berbasis Indigofera sp. dengan bentuk yang berbeda. Materi yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu pakan yang terdiri dari konsentrat, rumput lapang, Indigofera sp. bentuk segar, Indigofera sp. bentuk kering/hay, Indigofera sp. bentuk tepung. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan dengan Cross Over Design dengan 3 periode, 3 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan, menggunakan 6 ekor kambing Sapera jantan. Perlakuan yang berpengaruh diuji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P1 = 20% Rumput segar + 40% Konsentrat komersial +40% Indigofera sp. segar; P2 = 20% Rumput segar + 40% Konsentrat komersial + 40% Indigofera sp. kering; P3 = 20% Rumput segar + 40% Konsentrat komersial + 40% Indigofera sp. tepung. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh rataan konsumsi bahan kering pada P1: 1.622,72 ± 224,68 gram; P2: 1.516,87 ± 190,58 gram; P3: 1.630,76 ± 278,00 gram. Sedangkan rataan konsumsi air minum pada P1: 1,60 ± 0,28 liter; P2: 1,94 ± 0,20 liter; P3: 2,05 ± 0,33 liter. Berdasarkan hasil analisis variansi  menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Indigofera sp. dengan bentuk yang berbeda yaitu berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering kambing Sapera jantan, tetapi berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi air minum. Uji Beda Nyata menunjukkan bahwa P2 dan P3 berpengaruh paling nyata terhadap konsumsi air minum. Penggunaan pakan Indigofera sp. dengan kondisi yang berbeda memberikan respon yang relatif sama terhadap konsumsi bahan kering, tetapi dalam bentuk kering dan tepung akan meningkatkan konsumsi air minum. Indigofera sp. dalam bentuk apapun dapat menggantikan 40% (dalam BK) dari pakan.

This study aims to determine and examine the consumption of dry matter and drinking water of male Sapera goats fed with Indigofera sp-based feed. with different shapes. The material used in the study was feed consisting of concentrates, field grass, Indigofera sp. fresh form, Indigofera sp. dry/hay form, Indigofera sp. flour form. The study was conducted using an experimental method with Cross Over Design with 3 periods, 3 treatments and 2 tests, using 6 male Sapera goats. Influential treatments are further tested with the Honest Real Difference test. The treatment given is P1 = 20% Fresh grass + 40% Commercial concentrate + 40% Indigofera sp. fresh; P2 = 20% Fresh grass + 40% Commercial concentrate + 40% Indigofera sp. dry; P3 = 20% Fresh grass + 40% Commercial concentrate + 40% Indigofera sp. flour. The results of the study obtained the average consumption of dry matter at P1: 1,622.72 ± 224.68 grams; P2: 1,516.87 ± 190.58 grams; P3: 1,630.76 ± 278.00 grams. While the average consumption of drinking water at P1: 1.60 ± 0.28 liters; P2: 1.94 ± 0.20 liters; P3: 2.05 ± 0.33 liters. Based on the results of the variance analysis shows that the use of Indigofera sp. with different forms, namely unreal differences (P>0.05) to the dry matter consumption of male Sapera goats, but very noticeably different (P<0.01) to drinking water consumption. The Real Difference Test shows that P2 and P3 have the most noticeable effect on drinking water consumption. The use of feed Indigofera sp. with different conditions gives a relatively similar response to the consumption of dry matter, but in dry form and flour will increase the consumption of drinking water. Indigofera sp. in any form can replace 40% (in BK) of the feed.
