Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh 3 jenis kompos kotoran hewan terhadap hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang, mengetahui pengaruh dosis kompos kotoran hewan terhadap hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang, mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara jenis dan dosis kompos kotoran hewan terhadap hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang, dan menentukan perlakuan terbaik atas dasar hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan bekas tanaman jagung di Desa Bobosan, Kabupaten Banyumas pada bulan Maret-Agustus 2022. Rancangan perlakuan yang digunakan berupa rancangan petak terbagi yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jenis kompos kotoran hewan sebagai main plot, yaitu kompos kotoran ayam, kompos kotoran kambing, dan kompos kotoran sapi. Faktor ke dua adalah dosis kompos kotoran hewan sebagai subplot, yaitu 1; 1,5; 2 kg/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) jenis kompos kotoran hewan berpengaruh baik terhadap jumlah bulbil, diameter bulbil, bobot bulbil segar, diameter umbi segar, bobot umbi segar, dan kadar glukomanan, 2) dosis kompos kotoran hewan tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang, 3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara jenis kompos kotoran hewan dan dosis kompos kotoran hewan terhadap hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang, 4) perlakuan terbaik atas dasar hasil dan mutu hasil tanaman porang yaitu pada pemberian 1 kg kompos kotoran kambing per tanaman, 5) kadar glukomanan terbaik diperoleh dari kompos kotoran ayam.

This study aims to determine the effect of 3 types of animal manure compost on the yields and quality of porang plants, to know the effect of animal manure compost doses on the yields and quality of porang plants, to know the effect of the interaction between type and dose of animal manure compost on the yields and quality of porang plants, and to determine the best treatment based on the yields and quality of porang plants. This research was done on ex-maize land in Bobosan Village, Banyumas Regency from March until August 2022. The treatment design was a split plot design with 2 factors. The first factor is the type of animal manure compost as the main plot consists of chicken manure compost, goat manure compost, and cow dung compost. The second factor is the dose of animal manure compost as the sub-plot consists of 1 kg/plant, 1,5 kg/plant, and 2 kg/plant. The result showed: 1) the type of animal manure compost has a good effect on the number of bulbils, bulbil diameter, fresh bulbil weight, fresh tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight, and glucomannan level, 2) animal manure compost doses does not affect the yields and quality of porang plants, 3) there is no interaction between the type and dose of animal manure compost on porang’s yields and quality, 4) the best treatment based on porang’s yields and quality is 1 kg of goat manure compost/plant, 5) the best glucomannan levels are obtained from chicken manure compost.
