Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Pengaruh Variabel Makroekonomi dan Demografi terhadap Indeks Kebahagiaan Di ASEAN-9 Tahun 2015-2021”. Penelitian terkait faktor yang mempengaruhi kebahagiaan di ASEAN ini menggunakan variabel ekonomi dan non ekonomi dengan perspektif Frey theory. Indeks kebahagiaan ASEAN masih rendah dibanding indeks kebahagiaan dunia dan pada tahun 2021 berada di peringkat 6 dari 10 kawasan lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh GDP per kapita, inflasi, kepadatan penduduk dan beban ketergantungan penduduk terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9 serta mengetahui variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9 tahun 2015-2021. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data sekunder yang diperoleh dari World Happiness Report dalam Sustainable Development Solutions Network, World Bank, dan Asian Development Bank. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi data panel dengan metode terpilih Random Effect Model untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa: 1) GDP per kapita, inflasi, kepadatan penduduk dan beban ketergantungan penduduk secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9; 2) Secara parsial GDP berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9 sedangkan inflasi, kepadatan penduduk dan beban ketergantungan penduduk tidak signifikan terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9; 3) Variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di ASEAN-9 adalah GDP per kapita. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah masing-masing pemerintah negara anggota ASEAN perlu memperhatikan upaya meningkatkan pendapatan perkapita agar masyarakat ASEAN dapat hidup lebih makmur, sejahtera dan bahagia.

This study is entitled "Analysis of the Effect of Macroeconomic and Demographic Variables on the Happiness Index in ASEAN-9 in 2015-2021". Research related to factors that effect happiness in ASEAN uses economic and noneconomic variables with the perspective of Frey theory. The ASEAN happiness index is still low compared to the world happiness index and in 2021 will be ranked 6th out of 10 other regions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of GDP per capita, inflation, population density and age dependency ratio on the happiness index in ASEAN-9 and to find out the variables that most effect the happiness index in ASEAN-9 in 2015-2021. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the World Happiness Report in the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. This study uses panel data regression analysis with the Random Effect Model chosen method to achieve the research objectives. The results of this study show that: 1) GDP per capita, inflation, population density and age dependency ratio jointly affect the happiness index in ASEAN-9; 2) Partially, GDP has a positive and significant effect on the happiness index in ASEAN-9, while inflation, population density and age dependency ratio have no significant effect on the happiness index in ASEAN-9; 3) The variable that has the most effect on the happiness index in ASEAN-9 is GDP per capita.  The implication of this research is that each ASEAN member country's government needs to pay attention to efforts to increase per capita income so that ASEAN people can live more prosperous and happy.
