Judul penelitian ini adalah “Penerapan Teknik Mind Mapping dalam Pengajaran Menulis Teks Recount (Studi Eksperimen pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Bruderan Purwokerto)”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan teknik mind mapping dalam pengajaran menulis teks recount dan keefektifan teknik mind mapping dalam pengajaran menulis teks recount.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 67 siswa adalah populasi. Sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah XA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XC sebagai kelas kontrol. Peneliti menggunakan lembar observasi kelas dan tes untuk mengumpulkan data.
Berdasarkan instrumen lembar observasi kelas, semua item tercentang. Peneliti juga memimpin pre-test dan post-test. Terlihat bahwa dari skor rata-rata sebelum mendapat perlakuan kelompok eksperimen adalah 65 menjadi 71, serta hasil uji-t menunjukkan hasil perhitungan 2,957 > 0,05 (t-tabel 2,037). Jadi, hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik mind mapping meningkat untuk siswa dalam mengajar menulis teks recount.

The title of this research is “The Implementation of Mapping Technique in Teaching Writing Recount Text (An Experimental Study for the Tenth Grade Students at SMA Bruderan Purwokerto)”. The objectives of this research are to find out the implementation of mind mapping technique in teaching writing recount text and the effectiveness of mind mapping technique in teaching writing recount text.
This research is experimental research using quasi-experimental research. The whole students of the tenth-grade students, which consists of 67 students is the population of this research. Meanwhile, the sample of this research is XA as the experimental class and XC as the control class. The researcher used classroom observation sheets and tests to collect the data.
Based on the instrument of classroom observation sheets, all items were check-list. The researcher also led pre-test and post-test. It can be seen that from the mean score before receiving the treatment the experimental group was 65 and became 71, and also the t-test result showed that the calculation result was 2.957 > 0.05 (t-table 2.037). So, the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. This can be concluded that the mind mapping technique improved for the students in teaching writing recount text.
