Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Pendidikan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (RSGMP UNSOED) Purwokerto. Penelitian ini mengambil judul: “Pengaruh Preventive Maintenance dan Corrective Maintenance Terhadap Waktu Rata-Rata Antar Kegagalan (Mean Time Between Failures) Pada Dental Unit di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Pendidikan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto”.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh alat dental unit yang terdapat di RSGMP UNSOED. Purposive sampling method digunakan untuk menentukan sampel yang akan di ambil pada penelitian ini. Setelah Purposive sampling terdapat 48 data yang berupa data rekapan mingguan selama tahun 2019 yang akan dijadikan sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dengan menggunakan regresi berganda (dibantu alat analisis software IBM SPSS 16 for Windows) menunjukan bahwa: (1) Preventive maintenance berpengaruh positif terhadap mean time between failures (2) Corrective maintenance berpengaruh negative terhadap mean time between failures.
Implikasi dari kesimpulan diatas yaitu bahan evaluasi untuk pembuatan dan perencanaan pemeliharaan yang lebih baik dan pembuatan sop serta penggunaan komponen cadangan yang berkualitas sesuai yang disarankan pabrikan yang memproduksi dental unit. Sebagai acuan pengambilan keputusan untuk masa yang akan dating baik dari biaya dan investasi.

This research is a quantitative study conducted at the General Sudirman University Teaching Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGMP UNSOED) Purwokerto. This study took the title: "The Effect of Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance on the Mean Time Between Failures in the Dental Unit at the Teaching Dental and Oral Hospital, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto".
The population in this study were all dental units in RSGMP UNSOED. Purposive sampling method was used to determine the sample to be taken in this study. After purposive sampling, there are 48 data in the form of weekly recap data during 2019 which will be sampled. Based on the results of research and data analysis using multiple regression (assisted by the IBM SPSS 16 software analysis tool for Windows) shows that: (1) Preventive maintenance has a positive effect on the mean time between failures (2) Corrective maintenance has a negative effect on the mean time between failures.
The implications of the conclusions above are evaluation materials for the manufacture and planning of better maintenance and manufacture of soups and the use of quality spare components as recommended by the manufacturer who produces dental units. As a reference for decision making for the future both in terms of costs and investment.
