Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang ditimbulkan oleh pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kinerja keuangan dan financial distress. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sub-sektor perhotelan, restoran dan pariwisata yang terdaftar di BEI pada kuartal 3 & 4 tahun 2019 dan 2 & 3 tahun 2020. Total populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 35 perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan dan diperoleh 31 perusahaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas dan uji beda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada rasio profitabilitas sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19 pada perusahaan sub-sektor perhotelan, restoran dan pariwisata. (2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada rasio likuiditas sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19 pada perusahaan sub-sektor perhotelan, restoran dan pariwisata. (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada rasio solvabilitas sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19 pada perusahaan sub-sektor perhotelan, restoran dan pariwisata. (4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada financial distress sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19 pada sub-sektor perhotelan, restoran dan pariwisata. Implikasi dan kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa pandemi Covid-19 membawa dampak yang negatif terhadap kinerja keuangan dan dapat menaikkan potensi kebangkrutan pada perusahaan, untuk itu diharapkan bagi perusahaan agar dapat memperbaiki kondisi kesehatan keuangan perusahaan yang memburuk pasca pandemi Covid-19

This study aims to determine whether there are differences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on financial performance and financial distress. This research is a quantitative research. The subjects of this research are the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sub-sector companies listed on the IDX in the 3 & 4 quarters of 2019 and 2 & 3 of 2020. The total population in this study is 35 companies. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique with predetermined criteria and 31 companies were obtained. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical test, normality test and different test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There are significant differences in profitability ratios before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sub-sector companies. (2) There is a significant difference in the liquidity ratio before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sub-sector companies. (3) There is a significant difference in the solvency ratio before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sub-sector companies. (4)
There is no significant difference in financial distress before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sub-sectors. The implications and conclusions in this study are that the Covid-19 pandemic has a negative impact on financial performance and can increase the potential for bankruptcy of the company, for that it is hoped that the company can improve the company's financial health condition which worsened after the Covid-19 pandemic.
