PENGARUH SUPLEMENTASI SELENIUM YEAST TERHADAP PRODUKSI TELUR DAN CLUTCH SIZE AYAM NIAGA PETELUR

Lia Wahyuni. Pengaruh Suplementasi Selenium Yeast Terhadap Produksi Telur Dan Clutch Size Ayam Niaga Petelur. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh suplementasi selenium yeast terhadap produksi telur (total produksi, hen day production, dan hen house production), dan clutch size ayam niaga petelur, serta mengetahui pengaruh level suplementasi selenium yeast terbaik terhadap produksi telur dan cluth size ayam niaga petelur. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 18 Februari- 15 April 2022, di Teaching and Eksperimental Farm Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam niaga petelur dengan strain hy-line umur 35 minggu sebanyak 80 ekor; pakan basal ayam periode produksi dengan komposisi nutrientnya meliputi kadar air 13 %, protein 16,5%, lemak 3%, serat kasar 7,0%, abu 14%, kalsium 4,25%, fosfor total 0,6%, aflatoksin total maks 50 µg/kg, asam amino (lisin 0,8%, metionin 0,4%, metionin+sistin 0,67%, tryptophan 0,18%, dan treonin 0,55%); dan selenium organik (selenium yeast). Peubah yang diamati meliputi produksi telur (total produksi, hen day production, dan hen house production), dan clutch size ayam niaga petelur selama 8 minggu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimental dan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan analisis variansi. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan suplementasi selenium yeast berpengaruh tidak nyata (F Hit< F Tabel 0,05) terhadap nilai produksi telur, dan clutch size ayam niaga petelur. Nilai total rata-rata produksi telur pada ayam niaga petelur 53,26+0,81, hen day production yaitu 95,07+2,60, hen house production 95,07+2,60, dan rata-rata cluth size yaitu 6,51+0,32. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi selenium yeast hingga 0,6 mg/kg pakan basal belum memberikan respon peningkatan pada jumlah produksi telur, hen day production, hen house production, dan clutch size ayam niaga petelur strain hy-line umur 35-42 minggu. ABSTRACT Lia Wahyuni. The Effect of Selenium Yeast Supplementation on Egg Production and Clutch Size of Layer Commercial Chickens. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of selenium yeast supplementation on egg production (total production, hen day production, and hen house production), and clutch size of laying hens, and to determine the effect of the best level of selenium yeast supplementation on egg production size chickenslaying trade. This research was conducted from 18 February to 15 April 2022, at Teaching and Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Sudirman University. The research material used was laying hens with strain hy-lines aged 35 weeks; Basal feed for chicken production period with nutrient composition including water content 13%, protein 16.5%, fat 3%, crude fiber 7.0%, ash 14%, calcium 4.25%, total phosphorus 0.6%, total aflatoxin max 50 g/kg, amino acids (0.8% lysine, 0.4% methionine, 0.67% methionine+cystine, 0.18% tryptophan, and 0.55% threonine); and organic selenium (selenium yeast). The observed variables included egg production (total production, hen day production, andhouse production), and clutch size of laying hens for 8 weeks. The research method used is experimental and Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with analysis of variance. The results of the analysis of variance showed that selenium yeast supplementation had no significant effect (F Hit < F Table 0.05) on the value of egg production and clutch size of laying hens. The average total value of egg production in laying hens is 53.26+0.81, hen day production is 95.07+2.60, hen house production 95.07+2.60, and the average clutch size is 6 ,51+0.32. Based on the results of the study , it can be concluded that selenium yeast supplementation up to 0.6 mg/kg basal feed has not responded to an increase in the number of egg production, hen day production, hen house production, and clutch size laying hens with hy-line aged 35-42 weeks.
