Genus Peperomia adalah sepuluh spesies paling makmur dari genus dalam angiospermae. Anggota peperomia adalah tumbuhan yang umumnya merupakan epifit tetapi dapat ditemukan di tanah dan lebih disukai tumbuh di daerah yang lembab dan teduh. Baturraden adalah sebuah kecamatan di Kabupaten Banyumas, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Kawasan hutan di gunung ini termasuk dalam tipe hutan hujan tropis, habitat favorit genus Peperomia (Piperaceae). Ketinggian yang berbeda akan mempengaruhi morfologi tanaman, termasuk Peperomia. Ketinggian di atas permukaan laut, mempengaruhi faktor iklim, termasuk suhu, cahaya, kelembaban, dan angin. Karakterisasi morfologi Peperomia sangat penting karena dapat menjadi objek penelitian untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman tumbuhan, perlu diungkapkan kekayaan jenisnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman genus Peperomia berdasarkan karakter morfologi pada berbagai ketinggian tempat di daerah Baturraden dan untuk mengetahui hubungan fenetik genus Peperomia (Piperaceae). Penelitian dilakukan di lima lokasi dengan ketinggian yang berbeda. Kelima lokasi tersebut berada di Kecamatan Rempoah 100-199,9 m dpl, Desa Kemutug Kidul 200-399,9 m dpl, Desa Karangmangu 400-599,9 m dpl, Desa Limpakuwus 600-799,9 m dpl, dan Desa Ketenger 800-1.000 m dpl. metode dengan teknik random sampling. Keanekaragaman peperomia dianalisis menggunakan metode UPGMA dengan software MEGA versi 6.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keragaman genus Peperomia (Piperaceae) di lima desa di Kecamatan Baturraden; diperoleh delapan spesies, yaitu P. argyreia, P. caperata, P. marmorata x P. metallica, P. metallica, P. nitida P. obtusifolia, P. pellucida, P. verschaffltii. Kekerabatan fenetik genus Peperomia spesies yang paling mirip adalah P. verschaffltii dan P. argyreia, dengan indeks dissimilaritas 0,272, Sedangkan spesies Peperomia yang paling mirip adalah Peperomia pellucida dan Peperomia caperata, dengan indeks dissimilaritas 1,435.

The genus Peperomia is the ten most prosperous species of the genera in angiosperms. Peperomia members are herbs that are generally an epiphyte but can be found in soil and are preferably grown in moist, shaded areas. Baturraden is a sub-district in Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The forest area in this mountain belongs to the type of tropical rain forest, the favorite habitat of the genus Peperomia (Piperaceae). Different altitudes will affect the morphology of the plant, including Peperomia. The height above sea level, affects climatic factors, including temperature, light, humidity, and wind. Morphological characterization of Peperomia is essential because it can be the object of study to find plant diversity, it is necessary to disclose the richness of its species. The research objectives were to know the diversity of the genus Peperomia based on morphological characters at various altitudes in the Baturraden area and to understand the phenetic relationship of the genus Peperomia (Piperaceae)The research was conducted in five locations with different altitudes. The five locations are in Rempoah district 100-199.9 m asl, Kemutug Kidul village 200-399.9 m asl, Karangmangu village 400-599.9 m asl, Limpakuwus village 600-799.9 m asl, and Ketenger village 800-1,000 m asl, used a survey method with a random sampling technique. Peperomia diversity was analyzed using the UPGMA method with MEGA software version 6.0. The results showed the diversity of the genus Peperomia (Piperaceae) in five villages in Baturraden sub-district; eight species were obtained, namely P. argyreia, P. caperata, P. marmorata x P. metallica, P. metallica, P. nitida P. obtusifolia, P. pellucida, P. verschaffltii. The phenetic relationship of the genus Peperomia species with the closest similarity is P. verschaffltii and P. argyreia, with a dissimilarity index of 0.272, While the farthermost similar Peperomia species are Peperomia pellucida and Peperomia caperata, with a dissimilarity index of 1,435.
