Skripsi ini berjudul “Memahami Ideologi Pengarang Dalam Novel Selamat Tinggal Karya Tere Liye”. Tere Liye adalah novelis yang sering menciptakan banyak karya novel dengan berbagai macam tema dan banyak mendapatkan best seller. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hubungan antar struktur pembangun pada novel dan representasi ideologi pengarang pada novel. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami lapisan strata norma serta makna cerita di dalamnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan fokus terhadap mendeskripsikan representasi ideologi pengarang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu membaca secara intens keseluruhan novel, mendeskripsikan hubungan unsur struktur pembangun, mendeskripsikan ideologi yang terkandung dalam novel, meenganalisis ideologi pengarang dan meyimpulkan hasil dari analisis ideolgi pengarang. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, terdapat enam ideologi pegarang yang terdapat pada novel Selamat Tinggal. Ideologi pengarang tersebut adalah pembajakan buku, pendidikan, cinta, politik, kekuasaan, dan ekonomi. Masing-masing ideologi memiliki fokus yang berbeda tetapi saling berkaitan. Keterkaitan antar ideologi terdapat pada analisis hubungan antar struktur yakini alur dan tokoh yang dianalisis sebelumnya.

This thesis is entitled "Understanding the Ideology of the Author in novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye". Tere Liye is a novelist who often creates many novels with various themes and gets many best sellers. This study aim to describe the relationship between the structure of the novel and the representation of the author's ideology in the novel. The purpose of this study is to understand the strata of the norm and its meaning. This research used descriptive qualitative analysis with a focus on describing the author's ideological representation. Data collection techniques used in this study are describing the relationship between the structural elements of the building, describing the ideology contained in the novel, analyzing the author's ideology, and concluding the results of the author's ideological analysis. Based on the analysis, there are six author ideologies found in the novel Selamat Tinggal. About book piracy, education, love, politics, power, and economics. Each ideology has a distinct but interrelated focus. The linkage between ideologies is found in the analysis of the relationship between the structure of the plot and the characters that were analyzed previously.
