PENGARUH EDUKASI MELALUI MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI WAYANG TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA SISWA SD DI KABUPATEN PATI

Penggunaan video sebagai media edukasi kesehatan lebih mudah dipahami dengan diselingi media rakyat seperti wayang. Penelitian sebelumnya mendukung penggunaan wayang kulit sebagai media edukasi kesehatan. Penelitian terkait penggunaan video animasi wayang sebagai media edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada masyarakat Kabupaten Pati belum pernah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media video animasi wayang terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak SD usia 10-12 di Kabupaten Pati. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian pre-test post-test with control group design. Pengambilan data diperoleh melalui google form dengan total responden berjumlah 210 yang terbagi pada masing-masing kelompok video animasi wayang, kontrol positif dengan media power points dan kontrol negatif (tanpa perlakuan). Hasil data pre-test dan post-test pengetahuan dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test sedangkan hasil selisih pre-test dan post-test pengetahuan dianalisis dengan uji mann withney. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan video animasi wayang terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan p=0,000 (𝑝<0,05) serta tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan efektivitas edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut melalui media video animasi wayang dibandingakan dengan kontrol positif menggunakan metode ceramah dengan media power points p=0,012 (𝑝>0,05). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh edukasi melalui media video animasi wayang terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa SD Kecamatan Kayen di Kabupaten Pati Jawa Tengah.

The use of video as a health education media is easier to understand by interspersed with folk media such as wayang. Previous research supports the use of wayang kulit as a health education media. Research related to the use of animated wayang videos for dental and oral health education media in the people of Pati Regency never been carried out. The aim of this study is to know the effect of using animated wayang video on increasing dental and oral health knowledge applied to elementary school children aged 10-12 in Pati Regency. Method of this study used quasi experimental research design with pre-test post-test with control group design. Data was obtained through google form with totals of 210 respondents who were divided into each group of animated wayang video, positive control with power points media and negative control (without health educatio). The results of the pre-test and post-test of knowledge were analyzed using the paired t-test, while the results of the difference between the pre-test and post-test of knowledge were analyzed using the mann withney test. The results showed that there was an effect of using animated wayang video on increasing knowledge p=0.000 (𝑝<0.05) and there was no significant difference in the effectiveness of dental and oral health education through animated wayang video compared to positive control used the lecture method with power points media p=0.012 (𝑝>0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of dental and oral health education through the media of animated wayang video on increasing dental and oral health knowledge in elementary school students in Kayen District in Pati Regency, Central Java.
